I'm hoping for a huge fem qunari too after all she's supposed to be from a race of giants... but not enormous boobs... seriously I don't get the obsession people have with big boobs... they lead to back aches, look weird if out of proportion and just get in the way... they also require seriously uncomfortable bras which I've yet to see any female character have to deal with or they'd be dragging and sagging all over the place... so not attractive.  Sorry, not actually directed at you I've just seen bust size come up a few times and finally got sick of it. Rant over...

If you find playing elves difficult because of their height do you play dwarves or is that even worse for you? Curious because I think one of the reasons I've never finished a dwarven play through is because I get sick of looking up at every other character (except during Orzammer... totally spelt that wrong) that I abandon the play through by about Lothering. Sad I know  :(

Yeah and they were in proportion for the most part... at least in that area and I think that works much better than giving every woman regardless of race and build big boobs.

Oops... okay rant really over now.  ;)

You know what I would like for once? As a woman with very large boobs, I would like it if even just once a large chested woman was portrayed in a non sexual way. Like as a person, dressed sensibly, a person with a personality and career and life beyond "dem boobies" every large breasted woman is sexualized(unless she's obese), all wear skintight catsuits or have gaping boob windows or wear battle bikinis and are usually implied or blatantly stated to be promiscuous. Being large chested doesn't suddenly make you a one dimensional sperm receptacle and being promiscuous doesn't cause you to grow breasts.

I definitely want to see an array of body types and I want breast size that make sense for each build, but I also want to see my fellow large chested girls treated with some dignity for a change.

Nope. Olivier has at least a D cup. The uniforms were just made to be comfortable and not skintight.

It's good that she's not sexualized, but a D is not large to me. :? Many women her size are not sexualized :)

I hear that so much. I too am fairly...top heavy and most of the time, women with large chests in any sort of media are either portrayed as hypersexual or she's the target of unwanted attention. (Kenneth in ME was such a jackass. I'd have loved to smack him). In one way or another, a lot of attention is geared toward it in a negative, icky way.

Oh? I don't remember much of him other than he didn't like me card sharking him and he was really informal to Shepard.

What, you want an E or G cup or something? No matter what happens then clothes are going to be tight around the chest unless they're wearing a parka or something.

There's a conversation he has with Gabby which is literally all about how an Asari's breasts grow as they age and how he wants to spend his sunset years in an Asari retirement home. And there's a gross comment about him wanting Gabby to go chat up Samantha and take film once she tells him that Sam's not 'his type'. And another about Edi's chest.

Isabellas are around the same size as mine and mine are GG. They chose to dress her like that, it's not inevitable. Not everything is tight around the chest or looks sexual. That's what tailoring, selecting the appropriate style, etc...is for. But I think you just like to argue against everything I say <_<

No. I've just never seen clothes fit people with those size breasts before. Here, I have a character with Gs who fits your criteria.

It's better than many, but she's still got cleavage hangin' out. Why can't her shirt be buttoned to the neck like her male counterparts? Why is she wearing heavy eyeliner/mascara and dark lipstick in some desert outpost? This is a very tame example, but she's still being portrayed as "sexy" vs a normal soldier like the guys next to her.

Large chested women never get portrayed as a normal, practical, serious person like this

0041A334_zps6408ca49.jpg

They get portrayed like this instead.

sexy-doctor_zps20a9fe70.jpg

In video games, a large percentage of all women are portrayed like that but at least it's not all of them anymore. Sadly large chested girls are always portrayed as the vixen, the prostitiute, the femme fatale, etc...rather than the soldier, the scientist, the businesswoman, etc...even if they have those professions they are the sexy version with a short skirt, blouse unbuttoned, touseled hair, etc...a schoolboy fantasy. Samara for instance is a great character, well acted, I love her personality and her backstory and there is absolutely no reason for her to be dressed like she is. It doesn't fit with her sage-like attitude or her practicality and the fact that she's put all romantic feelings behind her leaves no reason for her to want to attract someone. She's a person and they reduced her to eye candy.

It's at most two buttons. That's like saying the guy next to her has his cleavage hanging out. Only one of those 5 has clothes up yo the neckline, and he's wearing body armor. As for makeup, your nurse is wearing makeup so is she being sexualized too?   <_<

Her shirt neck comes down a lot farther than any of the males. If I had my shirt unbuttoned enough for my boob crack to show at work I'd get in trouble and told to button up. I have no problem with makeup where it makes sense. Such as a civilized city in daily life not on a battlefield or during a zombie apocalypse or stranded in a jungle, etc...and look at the clothes I posted. The first outfit is serious and professional, the second is what you see in video games.

Having an open collar like that dude is different. You can clearly see in the pic that the collars come to different places (look at the distance between the breast pocket and the collars, she has at least one more button then him undone). Also, the argument about makeup mainly comes down to two things 1) practicality for a situation. (working in a hospital, sure, part of a doctors job is looking presentable to a patient. For most women, they are going to feel obligated to put on some make up for that, whether or not they like makeup. For fighting in a desert, it makes less sense to worry about ones potential presentability. In Dragon Age, it looks like even Cass, who seems highly utilitarian, has like, green eyeshadow on, which, admittedly, does have me scratching my head a tiny bit. 2) Amount. Lots of women put on a small amount of make up everyday, maybe they put on more for special/significant occasions where they deem it necessary or appropriate. But in video games many women wear 'special occasion' levels of make up everyday. (Now, that isn't to say that if you like to wear more makeup then what I'm describing its bad or negative in anyways, I'm mostly just trying to talk in averages? I hope thats ok... )

You're doing this just to annoy me now, aren't you?

The man to her left has it open just as much as her. Hers only looks more pronounced because guess what, boobs do that to your chest. Even A cups.

As for not wearing makeup in the desert, I point to you the ancient Egyptians. They wore heavy makeup for practical reasons. The non-practical ones came as a bonus.

I still greatly dislike Isabela's design and the "it suits her character!" justification. Flemeth's upgrade including boob window was pretty bad too. I've always felt that Isabela's breasts were not really in proportion with the rest of her body. Of course you can have different sizes, but her arms are skinnier than mine while I am still at the top of the alphabet, and I have no doubt her stomach is supposed to be perfectly flat as well. By no means do I mean to insult others here who say to have breasts of that size, but Isabela's proportions are pretty rare and so far I have only seen it on women who have underwent surgery, so to speak. I don't recall having seen a lady with exactly her body type walking on the street. A girl I used to go to high school with comes closest, but she still didn't look like Isabela. Combined with all the cleavage and the apparent lack of gravity working on breasts in Thedas (I suspect all those saltos she is doing would still get uncomfortable) it really looks like the artists drew and designed their fantasy woman.

His shirt also has one less axis to contain. When a guy and girl wear the same shirt, the girl's chest will on average always be more pronounced since while a guy has a chest containing the x and y axis, a girl has the x, y, and z axis.

Sorry if it seemed I snapped at you. Nefla's going to my every post as 'lol nope you're wrong' is getting aggravating.

Even if it is the same button, what it does come down to, for me at least, is women can get in trouble for having that much chest showing (like Nefla said, if she went to work that way she would get in trouble, vs. the dude, with the shirt buttoned just as much being considered totally fine). A woman doing that might be considered 'distracting to her coworkers' or 'provacative' or 'looking for attention'.  Also, by doing that, often authors are conveying something about the character; in the case of visible cleavage, most often its that a character is there for sex appeal and maybe not much else; or what I said before, provocative and looking for attention. Morrigans outfit contributes to the perception of her as a 'seductress', Isabela's as a...couple different words I'm not going to say, Jack's as 'easy', etc etc. That may not be the case in the pic you showed (and I'm sorry idk what anime that is from, DBZ and Naruto are the extent of my knowledge there haha  ) but often times that is strongly implied by any womans chest showing.

And really, for combat especially, women's chest shouldn't show any more then mens. So...I guess the Qunari are still up in the air a bit? But any female Qunari who goes around half shirtless better have more support in the chest area then say...Morrigan or Isabela seemed to have. Lack of gravity indeed.

Wow, trying to find a woman with bigger breast size in an outfit that would be considered normal isnt actually easy to find. I keep ending up with half naked women instead.  :/   I thought I could find something reasonable to link but none of them I came across so far is safe to link here. That is very sad indeed, Big breasted seems to mean fun times only.  Sorry, tried to find decent clothing that would be viable depiction of non-sexual types. I wanted to help on showing there are some out there that dont view it like that, but I failed. Sorry. :)  Wow, sexist internet.....

If you don't want me to reply to you, don't quote me. You are the one who decides to pick out my posts which aren't even directed at you and try to "refute" them. If you want to browbeat me into accepting your opinion and realize how wrong I am about large breasted women being sexualized in games, then give me an example of what I actually said I wanted to see: large breasted female game character dressed in a completely practica/professional, and non sexual way, not 1)Small breasted woman in modest clothing (I already said there were modest small breasted women in games) 2)Only somewhat sexualized large-ish chested female 3)Examples that are...you know...not actually from games.

haha  .  I think most women with larger chests would be upset at being called provocative etc just because they got dressed for work in the morning.

(Who is in the second picture btw? like I said, I have a tragically limited knowledge of anime)
