Fenris very clearly has some stubble going in DA2.

I don't think they have hair in any other place except their head and some of them don't have it neither there.

It's the more traditional Elven Design. Elves are by myth a fair creature, which includes less body hair. I think their mane is pretty much the only kind of hair elves grow.
Which is also why they are depicted like that in Lord of the Rings for the most part. At least I can't remember any elves with beards in LotR.
There is only one elf in LOTR that has facial hair its Círdan. Its the elf who makes all the elven ships that sail to Valinor.
Lol now that I think about it an elf in Dalish camp has facial hair too. Sarel, the storyteller.

Not so much "anti-beard" in general so much as "opposed to beards on elves."

He hadn't. DG said it was skin structure.

I hate to point this out but Sarel's "stubble" is as another user pointed out for Fenris, "skin structure"

Merrill: "I met a Grey Warden once. Back in Fereldan. Duncan, I think his name was. Very odd man. He had a marvellous beard, though. I'd never seen one before. I thought a squirrel had grabbed him by the chin."

an elf does not have facial hair for the same reason a child doesn't

Bleh, I hate facial hair if it's more than stubble. Anyways I think it helps make elves distinct from the other races. Asking for elves to have beards would be like asking if dwarves could be tall IMO.

I feel the lack of beards on Elves in fantasy was due to an original intent of making them appear less masculine and simply evolved to the point where it was the accepted way of making elves.

So, elves are pre-pubescent?

I actually never knew Sarel and Fenris had some facial hair.
In real life the presence or absence of facial hair is caused by presence or lack of hormones as well as the concentrations of these hormones....
& well, everyone is different so some elves like Sarel or Fenris have interesting hormone concentrations that cause them to just grow facial hair. Not a lot of hair but you can definitely see growth.
So a compromise would be to have option for male elves with tiny amount of facial hair...

Err ...on a less personal note, elves are so similar to humans that this is one of the distinguishing factors. If you want glorious stubbles, go human. If you like them bearded, you have dwarves.

I mean... you are acting like things said in game/Codex can't be changed. Can you imagine if they completely changed the appearance and rules for an entire race like, say, the Qunari? Just on a whim of what looks cool?
Madness. Madness, I tell you.

Elves don't have beards in the lore. Which is lame, but it's the lore.

Next thing you know they'll ask for giant dwarves and horned humans.

The lack of beards doesn't really bother me as much as the body type of male elves ... if they only could give them Solas' body type ![]()
But given the beards in this game, the elves probably even dodged a bullet there ...
