Generally is only see jav and bw. But no one uses many of the others.
I can't even remember the last time I saw someone other than me use the viper.

I do use Krysae/Kishock/CSR/Indra besides Javelin and BW, but that's it...

I'll use the Viper when I'm cycling sniper mastery, but if I'm using snipers for fun I'll pretty much use Valiant, BW and Kishock. My favorite sniper rifle is probably the Crusader shotgun, though.

I use all of them, but the M-97 Viper and the M-13 Raptor spend most of their time decorating my kit's backs, they're just too annoying to use a lot.

 

I'm currently trying to make a build that lets the M-92 Mantis 1HK gold enemies. It's proving annoying though, because even an infiltrator with phasics doesn't do enough shield damage to defeat shield-gate.

 

An HEng can use overload to bypass shield-gate, but she doesn't do enough damage with the M-92 Mantis to body-shot mid-level mooks such as Geth Hunters without a weird build that mixes weapon damage evos and power damage evos with warp ammo.

Given the amount of messing around it's taking to find a use for those three guns, I can understand why a lot of people just don't bother with them.

I love the Viper's purple tracer, but tbh it can't compete with the Valiant.

Mostly I switch between javelin, csr, valiant, widow/bw and sometimes (rarely) the indra/kishock.

The only one which is truly **** is the Raptor. This thing is an insult to my inventory.

I still use the Widow for fun, sometimes. In many ways, the Valiant is still a favourite, although I almost never use it, anymore.

 

I have an Indra X, now, so I should use that for something. I just haven't, yet.

 

I almost threw the Viper on my Justicar the other day. I think I will, just to see how it goes.

Widow is my favorite. I also like Raptor and Javelin. I used to hate Black Widow but I've used it a lot more recently. The only other snipers I've used are the Kishock and Indra. Don't care too much for those.

Forgot about Valiant. I do like that one

He's my javelin platform. Using energy drain he can 1HK gold phantoms with either phasics or disruptor ammo, and bosses don't survive much longer either.

 

I don't like having any of my kits completely dependant on phasic ammo to be functional on gold.

This is how i recently played him for the mantis points...for plat i used power amp 4, that should be good enough to strip almost all mooks ( geth hunter, pyro and possessed collectors survive but HS would kill them ) shields completely off ....leave the FQI for the javelin as you are using phasic/disruptor anyway and she has no shield stripping power

Because Javelin and BW are the easiest to use.

Javelin requires only phasic rounds III and aiming to the center of mass, BW is almost the same BUT if your aim is bad (or the weapon damage+phasic is not sufficient to kill) you still have 2 more shots to kill the target, and if it's good (and you do enough damage) you can kill 3 mooks/phantoms each clip.

Other snipers require better aim to get used at full potential, with maybe the exception of the Widow which could be a Javelin for those who don't have it or still are not fully confident with its fire delay.

I like almost every sniper rifle (excpet for Viper and CSR), but I am using the Widow or Black Widow most of the time.

Because there are only 4 UR snipers, and BW>Valiant while the Indra is lost in another dimension.

Try the valiant on a caster instead of a weapons platform before writing it off.

 

It's useful on ammo detonation kits because it's almost guaranteed to apply ammo effects, and its rapid fire makes it good for stasis sniping without ruining your cool-down times.  One shot to remove shields, and a second to pop the melon.

 

The paladin pistol does compete with the valiant for use in these roles though, which might explain why it isn't seen that often.

CSR > everything else

For the Mantis, may I suggest Drell Infiltrator using Recon Mine to strip shields and use Warp ammo. It is just enough to 1-shot headshot on host platinum Phantoms.

Kishock has the most hilarious ragdoll, everyone should use it from time to time. Plus the fact it has no scopeless penalty.

Probably because they are both easy to use and very powerful. I agree they are probably the ones most seen on Gold, occasionally I see Valiant, Viper or Widow as well. Not at all into sniping myself, I´d mostly use Valiant or CSR.

I didn't say it was bad, only that the BW is better. However i'm still not a big fan of it.
