I've never done that......

I am almost as excited for Witcher 3, but not like that. I try to learn everything that has DAI brand on it. I suspect Mass Effect next gen will be next on this list. But DAI is the first one i follow so closely.

Basically the only time I did that was for DAII.  Now, I can't play it without thinking about how either wrong (or worse but less often, right) various annoying forum people were about [feature].

Can't say I recommend it.

If I had any self-control over these things, I'd wait until the launch trailer drops.

I don't think I have. Not since DA2, anyway.

I followed Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim as close as I do DA:I, and I've begun studying Games Design which makes it a whole 'nother experience.

This is the first time I've followed the development of a game this close. I usually don't hear about games until a year or so after release, so, yeah.

The speculation is most certainly... fun.

I followed SWTOR and Civ V development more closely than I have DAI so far. My experiences have led me to have more patience with game marketing, and also to be more circumspect. There is a lot more that I want to know about DAI, but I realize that they will reveal all in good time. They have to create a ramp of hype leading to the game release, so they can't just tell us every detail at once with 6 months to go.

It will be interesting, if some veterans in this, who follow almost every game like that, to tell us how they feel about inquisition. Because i believe your bullshit detector will improve immensely.

Nope. Wonder how it's gonna effect my view of the game? I know I'll be avoiding the forum until I finish it once or twice cuz I'd like to form my own opinion of the game without letting others influence it.

I always follow the Tales Series closely, but only really started following Dragon Age closely since this was announced

Back in the day I was super excited for Neverwinter Nights 2, the Sims 2 and the Sims 3...but I didn't follow forums and boards like I'm doing for DA:I. I might of been this excited for DA:2, but given as I didn't play any DA games until Fall of last year, this is my first time waiting.

I'm excited to be waiting this time around, not least because I get to experience it for the first time like everything else. Also, when you wait years to play a game, spoilers are way too easy to come across, even if you're careful. In an attempt to find innocuous information about some quest, I found out about Anders' end game stunt in the beginning of the second act. Oops.

I can honestly say: Nope, I haven't been this obsessed with any game before. Ever. I mean, I was very excited over ME3 ... but I didn't check for news every day so desperately.

I'm not sure whether it is because the game seems so great - or because I currently don't have the freetime to really get into other things. :?

I guess when I used to play WoW I followed the expansions pretty closely, but this is probably the first time since that (5 years ago).  No one around me is as excited about DA:I as I am so I came here to find my outlet :)  I don't mind all the arguments and wild speculation, it's worth it to get my DA fix.

DA2, ME3... Wouldn´t recommend it. I spoiled myself a lot of fun and I hope they do not reveal too much about the characters again. I have no self control...

Nope, never. But once more information starts coming in I'll ban myself from this place for a while. I don't like spoilers.

I followed both Dragon Age 2 and Skyrim very closely. Both disappointed me, but in different ways.

Besides DAI, I'm currently following The Witcher 3 and Watch Dogs very closely.

To be honest. I an scared of myself. I obsess over this game and I want to constantly talk about it! It is *very* difficult being the only nerd among my friends. They dont want to hear anything about DA, and I feel like bursting inside!!!! Will someone be my friend? :)

I certainly have. Going back years I followed the development of Bioware games and a few other titles by other developers.
