Sure, but I do purposefully not follow that closely to any game.    Other than browsing the front page of the forum once or twice a day, I don't seek out information.    I might watch the 'eye candy' trailers, but when they get to a point where they start releasing actual game information, I will probably stop visiting or at least refrain from opening any threads that I feel might have spoilerish information.

Sure, this bites me every once in a while, like with X:Rebirth (WHY didn't I research that one more!?)   However, I tend to give developers the benefit of the doubt, that is until I feel shafted by them... *cough* Egosoft *cough*.

To be honest. I an scared of myself. I obsess over this game and I want to constantly talk about it! It is *very* difficult being the only nerd among my friends. They dont want to hear anything about DA, and I feel like bursting inside!!!! Will someone be my friend? :)

My friends are all like this as well, well you have all of us on BSN Friera :)

tbh I haven't been following this at all, but I did follow DA2 and it ended up sucking, so maybe that has something to do with why I don't really pay attention anymore, you know I also followed AC3's development close and it ended up sucking too, but I didn't follow AC4 even a little bit and it was awesome.

Me too!!! I know two people who like games. My husband is impressed by the latest trailer, and I have a gamer friend at work who is too, but they aren't excited for it like I am. I'll freak out about DA:I with you!  :P

Sometimes going in completely blind about a game can be a very good thing, since you don't have any preconceived notions of the all the features and what to expect, so in a way you can take everything you see in the game within that 1st instance

Dragon Age Inquisition Freak Out Party! Everyone is invited! :D

DA:I Freak Out Dance Party time!!

I think my excitement drives are going to burn out, I've been maintaining a pretty high level of excitement (which spikes when news is released!) for DA:I for a while now and can't see it going down.  Luckily, I always set my expectations low and still enjoy many games people think are sub par, so unless the project is suddenly scrapped I don't foresee being let down ^_^

It's going to be so hard to block out spoilers when we get closer...

I followed DA:O quite closely from 2008 on (but only sporadically before then) and DAII about this closely in the beginning and then mostly ignored it until it came out once I realised a few certain features it was going to have. I'm given to roaming about the Pillars of Eternity forum rather obsessively every few days. Other than that? No. When most of the other games I was most interested in were being developed, I had little inclination towards forums. I didn't actually even realise that BioWare had forums until after KotOR came out.

The only game I followed closely was ME3. Now I'm watching this game and I like what I see

Yes, I have. I often follow games that intrigue, interest or excite me.

yes, i have followed the development process of a lot of games quite closely.... but to be honest there isn´t much to follow here/with DAI.... because there isn´t a lot of information out yet and there will only be the things that biowares and EA´s marketing departments rly want to share, so don´t get your hopes up for an in deph look that will rly show of the development of the game!

I say this because i backed pillars of eternety and star citizen both and they do a lot more in regards to the open development process.

So yeah there isn´t that much to see here and there won´t be for some time I guess... things will change slightly with the advancement of the year and the release date getting closer/the big roadshows [gamescom for example] where EA will want to show DAI of and generate a hype. but given the bioware history with open development and that they are publisher focused.... don´t expect a open development process ^_^

I did for dragon age 2 and ME3. Good times on this board. Damn good times.

With DA2 it went from hype (first trailer), to guarded anticipation (board discussions), then mild fear (with gameplay vids), then frustration (with the demo) then full blast anger and rage upon release. lol

The venom and RAGE my friends. Even though the destination was terrible the adventure was well worth it IMO.

Yes. I followed NWN2, DA:Origins, ME2, ME3, and DA2 just as closely as I'm following Inquisition.

Yes; Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 I followed just as closely. I don't post too often (mostly because I don't have the patience to argue with people), but I lurk compulsively, since new info is posted to these forums much faster than to any place else I've found. In the months before DA2 and ME3 I was on these forums looking for news pretty much every day, sometimes for uncomfortable and unnecessary periods of time. As I am now.

If I come across an article or teaser I'll check it out, but I try not to follow games. I like surprises.

Bioware games are the only games I follow this closely.  For me, it started with Mass Effect being announced back in 2005 when the Xbox 360 was still nice and fresh.  I was looking for things to do and I found the trailer for a new game.  I thought it looked interesting, so I googled it.  The rest is history.

I have followed KOTOR, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, and TOR all the way from announcement to release. This isn't my first rodeo. :)

I dont know how to witstand myself from learning too much about the game, before playing it. Its like 10 minutes a day thing, and almost impossible to resist. I must somehow keep myself extremely busy. Yet i want information, but on the other hand i dont. Complicated stuff.

I've followed ME3, MGS4, Zelda: Skyward Sword, FFX, FFXII, and currently MGSV far more closely.

Yes, with DA2 and this is because the DA team regularly communicates with their fans in a way I have never seen before.
