You mean the dragon thralls? - as with all boss fights, plausible tactics depend on your party composition and available talents. Some general tips below:
Focus on one of them at a time. Cast any debuffs you have (hexes work well for mages, mark of death for assassins). Have your tank (preferably with stun/knockdown immunity) melee them, while your ranged fighters hit them from afar.
how far am i in the game?
Depends on the order you have done the main quest segments in (Wending Wood, Kal'Hirol, Blackmarsh).
How far you are depends on exactly what order you've been doing the quests in, much like Origins and its treaties.
Remember you can use Ser Pounce-a-lot to revive all members of the party (you don't want to become reliant on this, though, and will probably want to avoid them immediately dying after being brought back).
Ok thanks.. never heard of that before.. i usually use my lead character as first one.. good to defeat the ones on side of the boss first? how do you mean cast de-buffs?
It'd be useful to know who your party are.
Debuffs are basically the opposite of buffs. Spells/abilities that will lower something/weaken the enemy/etc.
how do you mean cast de-buffs?
Debuffs are talents that weaken the opponent, and they are cast just like any other talent. Mark of Death, for example, makes the target take more damage from your attacks, while Misdirection Hex makes it miss most of its attacks. These types of talents are quite useful especially against Elite or Boss enemies.
thanks. .how do i equip those? who my party is as in warrior etc? i can go on the game and tell you
For any specific advice we would need to know who is in your party (and preferably what talents they have).
You could try the fight with the generic guidelines given above. Use your warrior to get the enemy attention, and then hit it with your offensive talents.
The silverite mine segment isn't particularly difficult.
thanks.. done it.. so hard to get out of here though!
thought id done it but i killed drake and not the dragon thralls. hard to get them out.. party dies too quick.. can we have other players helping us?
The dragons can use fear and stun on your party. Spread your party out. The range fighter won't have problems with the fear because their fear is at personal range. A mage with Cone of cold and petrify work well here. These guys can't be stunned. Anytime the dragon use fear on the warrior, use cone of cold on it and get a rogue to use critical hit. Try to kill one at a time if possible. It is easier when one is down. They fly around and you can miss if they decide to fly away. Use your best stuff when they are interested in the tank and you know they aren't going to fly away. I did this on hard mode. You can use FF on one of the dragons just make sure it is not planning on flying away or it is going to miss him. I always wait for the dragon to become interested in the tank before I petrify, FF or cone of cold it.
I played this multiple times and even when the tank taunts one dragon always goes after Velanna. This reminds me of the spider queen always picking the lowest health character.
I should say the Dragon fear is very similar to "Frightening Appearance" it is long lasting in hard mode. This needs a mental resistance check. The two-handed warrior with over 100 physical resistance can't be stunned or knocked down while Indomitable mode is on but he can be feared and overwhelmed.
will have to look for cone of cold or prettify.. you said to spread your party out.. i control my main character though.. so would i have to manually switch characters? I'm not on hard mode but its so hard.. so if you equip 1 spell on one and 1 on another, do you have to switch to a character to make sure a certain spell is working ?
If you set up their tactics, even the characters you don't control yourself will do fairly well. If you haven't yet done so, I'd suggest you familiarize yourself with the tactics settings. They will make gameplay much easier - not just in boss battles, but in any fight.
ah i see.. tactics.. need to look.. they said to attack them from behind but didn't seem to get to that much.. was hard

In the Xbox version you have to manually switch to move them. In the PC version you don't have to.
i have the ps3 version
