What proportion of players actually max their manifest?

As I read of some players maxing their manifests I'm curious to know what proportion of players actually manage it?
These are my estimates:

Some people will grind away to get their BotB, as did I, maybe the top 1%?

I'm about half way through my URs and based on an Xbox population of about 1,500,000 players, I'm now in the top 0.5% based on challenge points (N7 is a less reliable accessible measure).

Recent TBFers who have maxed (I've looked at their manifests) are in the top <0.1%

So what we are saying here is that if getting the banners and maxing the manifest counts as 'game completion',

then over 99.9% of players will never finish but will abandon.

That seems too high a bar to me.

I have no wish to admit to all the grinding and its too late to change it now,

but in hindsight, the grinding bar was just too high.

It encourages cheaters and devalues the completion of those who really did put in 1,200 hours plus...

I'm really not in the mode for this. Maxing your manifest has no more value than you assign it.

Regarding challenges - depends if they care about doing certain things like N7 mastery...

Regarding inventory - PC or console?

That's certainly an interesting thought.  All I can say is that after all the hours...I still come back.

It's not a grind if you're having fun. I still have 48 UR to go to max my manifest and ~950 hours wear on the controller. Getting an UR is cool but it's not why I play. I'll keep going until it's no fun or they switch off the servers.

And tbh, if ME3 was transferred to next gen, I'd buy it just for the MP, and I wouldn't care if I had to start a new manifest either  :D

I have everything that I want, so now I'm just trying to max out my Black Widow, which is at IV.

You do realize it takes less than a month of playing to be in the "top 1%" for both CP and N7, right?  You're ignoring the fact that tens of thousands of people bought this game, played it for maybe twenty or thirty hours online, then stopped because they already moved on to "the next big game".  The population of players that do this far outweighs any population of dedicated players on any game.

Also, N7 and/or CP are terrible ways to gauge how long someone's been playing or how much they've played. Hours played is the only quantifiable value associated to an account.  That being said, anywhere between 600 and 800 hours played is the "fastest" someone can completely max their manifest.

And cheaters are going to cheat regardless of how long it takes to acquire anything in any game ever.  Look at how many cheaters exist in every Call of Duty just to get to level X to get Y gun every time they prestige, or just to prestige faster, or what have you.  Frankly if someone who sucks ****** at this game cheats and maxes their manifest within only 100 hours played, they will still suck nut bad because they never learned anything in the process.

For me, maxing my manifest was my top priority. I couldn't care less about banners because it's weapons that affect my performance in-game, not a fancy banner behind my name. I still don't care about getting the BotB banner now that I've maxed my manifest. I'm happy with my level of "completion" and all that matters at this point is simply enjoying the game....the same end-goal as when I first started the game.

Oddly enough I didn't "grind" for my manifest or banners. I enjoyed the game enough that it never felt like a grind. Hell, I still enjoy this game.

i maxed my manifest only a few months ago. been playing since release but mostly stuck with silver matches because i never cared to try grinding on gold/platinum matches for credits (mainly didn't trust pugs.) i just went along casually to play and have fun and over the course of playing i eventually got everything.

...and i still enjoy playing too  :D

I don't care about maxing my manifest (though I place it higher in importance than grinding challenges which I have zero interest in).  At about 1000 hours I still having around 100 URs left to go.  I only care about a few of them (Harrier, Talon, Indra, Venom).  But RNG store is RNG so I"ll probably max/level up all of the URs I don't give a squat about (all snipers except Indra, BPP, etc) long before I manage to level up the handful that I do.  Oh well.  Still having fun playing the actual game.

I expect that this forum gives a skewed impression of how many players max their manifest, as unsurprisingly it is home to a disproportionately large number of very dedicated players. I spend most of my time on silver and down there I'd say most of the PUGs haven't maxed their rare weapons and while occasionally you'll see someone with high CP and a maxed UR, most URs seen are at low levels. I sometimes find it amusing when debates on here assume that gold or platinum viability is the only measure of worth for a weapon or a kit, as it seems that for many, many players that is barely relevant.

Grinding bar? I got all my challenge banners and maxed my manifest at 609 hours without grinding once. (with the exception of N7 Mastery because you literally put in the effort.)

of course casual players will have a hard time maxing their manifest, but casual players shouldn't even care about maxing their manifest. Just play the game and it will come as you go along.

I'm at a little under 900 hours of game time played and I still have a hell of a long way to go to max my manifest. I'll admit I will be a little bit disappointed if I don't manage to max it before they shut down the servers, but it's not the main reason I play game. I enjoy the slight thrill of getting an upgrade for one of my URs, but it's a hell of a lot more fun to have an awesome game with a group of mates.

I play silver, mostly gold, plat occasionally and I even muck around on bronze for a laugh. I pug more often than not and enjoy it. I think it simply comes down to whether you're still having fun. I most definitely am.

I think your numbers may very well be accurate. I disagree though that the amount of playtime required to do this is too high.

I don´t care about maxing game stats/manifests (and from my experience - with very few exceptions - the effective differences between lower and higher level weapons do not matter much in this game), but with all these tons of challenges already available it is not a bad thing to have one that can be seen as the "ultimate" one by hard-core completionists.

If one really wants it quickly, they could always do these AC5 Platinum speedruns. Never done that myself, but looks straightforward enough. Surely there will be players who resort to cheating to get hold of something, but those will always be there and what they do both has no value and also does not devalue anything but themselves.

It took me roughly 700 hours to max it on old account. I'm quite confident I'll manage the same with this one.

30 to go..

I maxed my manifest about 7 months ago, and got BOTB way before that.  Yet, I am still here, enjoying the game.
