Playing through ME2 again and after completing both jack and miranda's loyalty missions I played through for a while before realizing their argument never occurred. That haven to anyone else? Im already through derelict reaper and heading to legions loyalty.

Who's mission did you do last? Where did you end up after the mission was over? Did you end up back at the Galaxy Map? In the Eternity Bar? I found out not too long ago if you do Miranda's mission after Jack's then you don't end up in the Eternity Bar, but back on the Normandy to referee the fight (assuming nothing goes wonky). Did you edit the file at some point?

I did Mirandas last and I think I ended up back on the Normandy, but not sure. Its not a game breaking issue, as both still show as loyal, just something weird I realized never happened once I got to tali/legion confrontation.

Maybe it has something to do how Shepard responds to Jacks request. Jack wants to research Cerberus files. And you have several options in how to deal with that.

I have her permission from the start. The only thing I did differently in this playthrough from all the others I've played is romance jack.

I've never not helped Jack, what happens dialog wise if you put her LM off?

What do you mean "put off?" Every NPC with an active LM will cease to have any dialogue except to remind you about their LM.

Do you mean for ME3? If you don't do her LM (and she survives) it makes no difference in ME3. This is why I often skip it: either I want to kill her, so I make her the escort, or I just don't want to spend the time since it makes no difference for ME3.

Edit: One small difference in dialogue for ME3 is whether you use her for the bubble or not. If you use her for the bubble she will mention it when you meet her at Grissom Academy.

Yeah, I'm not sure what I meant now. I guess if she survives without being loyal, is there any dialog during Grissom that changes? I've noticed the dialog change of bubble vs 'throwing husks around'.

I don't believe her dialogue is any different if not loyal. At least from what I remember. Also if you encourage her to kill Aresh, it has no mentioning or effect when seeing her at Grissom
