I will admit that I go through with the cure mostly because I feel sorry for the Krogan and what was done to them. Also there is me becoming friends with both Wrex and Grunt. There are a lot of great points in this thread for not curing however there is one point I have not seen yet that will always have me do the cure and that is what Victus says is true about needing the Krogan. It isn't like they turned the tide on Palaven but they do help slow the reapers down and that buys Shep and those building the crucible more time. Meta gaming it is clear that isn't needed but not knowing how that would play out I really don't think I could make that kind of gamble and not only doom the Krogan but maybe also everyone else.

Grunt is going to lead the Krogan to a more peaceful future? Have you met Grunt? He wouldn't even want the job.
Grunt is cut from the same mold as Wrex. As a Krogan he can be aggressive and relishes being in battle, but he's not an imperialist pining for an era where the Krogan make war on every other species.

wonder if over population, the lack of resources and the no spaceships to escape will mean war on Tchunka.
OR
The 1,000 babies per year will be massively retconned to something more sensible.
The Krogan will need to introduce some population controls if they spread beyond Tuchanka. Surely there must be some medical procedure that can limit their offspring to a sustainable amount, like 2 or 3 babies per litter?

Gotta wonder what kind of work would suit him after the war...

Leading the Krogan into waging war between themselves. With the Genophage cured, the rest of the galaxy better hope the Krogan nuke themselves into the stone age again before they start getting uppity about getting a new couple of extra colonies.

Not something quite so extreme. With the genophage most pregnancies failed and the Krogan were giving birth to stillborn infants.
The Krogan need to go underdo some sort of medical procedure the reduces the size of a litter rather than terminating pregnancies. 1000 or 2000 infants at a time on worlds not named Tuchanka isn't sustainable..1 to 3 might be.

I think they would have done that if they could. The genophage's goal was exactly to limit their reproduction and I am sure they did it in the most sensible possible.
About the Krogan being stuck on Tuchanka, I thought about that too. If they don't have a fleet they can't invade other worlds. This, however, could get the Krogan the same fate as the Drell had, and I don't know if anyone would bother saving them.

Krogan don't deliver live young, iirc. They lay eggs. Cry me a river Eve for your unhatched eggs, but my galaxy will sleep soundly knowing your foul spawn wont be invading them.
