Can't say for sure, but I highly doubt it since Alistair's dialogue gave me the impression that all the wardens he knew died at Ostagar.Still speculating never harmed anyone and I've heard far wilder theories than this one!
Bearded Warden Companion name is actually Gregor/Grigor

Using Isabella is hardly a case for changing Stroud into the Grey Warden Companion, as beyond graphic's changes she went from a minor npc whose only purpose was to unlock a spec to a companion which is more than enough to validate going from an average model to her own look.

I highly doubt that Beardy McBeardersson is this Gregor, or however you spell it. Pretty sure he's some new guy we've never seen before. Greggy is prolly as dead as dead can get.

Is Stroud not a minor NPC in DAII?

Yes, he is the guy you give your sibling to in the deep roads to become a warden.
To the topic itself, the idea is very silly and far fetched so people are going to poke fun. It's like saying the blonde elf woman in the concept art is origin city elf's mother Adaia(sp?) because omg they are both rogues, both elves, both female, and we never saw what Adaia looked like! The reasons people immediately dismiss the notion that the new companion is "Grigor or Greagor" are:
-He was one of the Ferelden wardens and every single one of them died except Alistair and the PC who would have died too if Flemeth and Morrigan didn't need their newly tainted selves to make a baby.
-He wasn't even a character and was only mentioned to give life to Alistair's story as was the elf warden that kept to himself. BW only resurrects characters they feel add to their story, they would have no use for resurrecting a one line blurb who wasnt even in the game when they could make a new character.
-Alistair described him as being quiet, calm, reserved. In the art of the group at the tavern he is obviously laughing loudly and strongly.
-Alistair described him as having the biggest bushy beard you had ever seen, the warden companion has a normal beard no crazier than Duncan's
The whole thing is just silly.

And as Mary said, his name is Feathers. I'm not sure what else there is to discuss.
Did Merrill find him? Did anyone tell her that he wasn't a griffon?
Or is he actually the griffon herald, signaling the return of griffons?
I'd like to know more about griffons.

Who knows. Gregor does sound like a name that belongs to a bearded warrior though...

I don't give a flying nug if the warden's real name is Ser Feathers von Skunkbeard, as long as he's voiced by Stephane Cornicard. Why? Because reasons. Oh, and DAT VOICE. ![]()

lol wow, went sleep and woke up to find this. Well it seems with majority rules I'm in the minor about this. I'm most probably wrong about this, thought it might be fun to speculate though.

That we know she was just messing with us and we're still curious about who the guy really is? ![]()

Adaia appeared in Leliana's Song, though.
And she WAS blonde. I think you're onto something here. ![]()

There's only one question I have. Just one.
Is Sigrun still alive?
Edit: Sorry, couldn't resist.
Her and Varric are my two favorite dwarven characters in the entire series so far.

From here on out we should refer to him as WCF or simply Feathers.

I can't do it, I just can't. Thanks to Repentance, feathers in this game are ruined for me for good.
All that will come to mind is,
"Ooh, the feather. Use the feather!"
<complete with Isabela's head tilt and Varric's wide eyed shock.>
So sorry, I can't call him Feathers. I'd probably call him Squirrel-Chin, due to Merrill's remarks about Duncan's beard.

This is your fault BioWare. Mary, would you consider giving us a different nickname other than "Feathers" for the Bearded Warden? ![]()

@ Nuloen. For your previous comment about the wardens dying, I am sorry if I was not thorough in my explanation, but I meant the Fereldan Gray Wardens as DontWakeTheBear has already clarified for me (thanks for that).
We do not know if Grigor survived, what makes you said he left? The fact that he is a bearded warded? I do not think that is enough evidence, not saying he is not but that is not enough reason to believe it is the same character. Anyway, I am hoping it is not Grigor since the way Alistair describes him he seems like a clone of Oghren, I expect a bit more variety in the companions personalities and behaviors in Inquisition.
Sorry I cannot quote, I do not know why as much as I press the quote button =P

It's a theory that's worth considering. I don't personally think it's correct, but it is definitely food for thought. Considering we might be visiting the Anderfels in Inquisition, there's a chance we might see him if he wasn't a Fereldan Grey Warden.

As I recall Grigor was a senior warden so if he didn't die at Ostagar he still would have left for his calling a long time ago.

Possibly but it depends on your choices and if you did her quests, passed the checks in one of the endings it has she resisted the calling for several decades while another if you do nothing but recruit her and don't pass the check she looses her will and leaves for her calling. There's a lot of permutations and it'll be interesting how the keep handles it, and I'm wondering if she'll show up in DAI.There's only one question I have. Just one. Is Sigrun still alive? On side note the devs are funny, but I really want to know who he is.
