Are you using Internet Explorer? I ask because I could never do it whenever I used IE, so I switched over to Chrome and it works fine now.

WHY ON EARTH DID YOU REMIND US OF THIS?!?!?!

I was using IE lol no wonder. I did not pay attention till now, thank you so much!  :D

Neat idea. It would be cool if it turned out to be true, BioWare has done similar things.

To people saying he would've had his Calling by now: There's a decent amount of grey in  his beard and hair his MANE. I don't see a problem with that timeline.

However, there are a few holes I would poke in this theory:

-From Alistair's story, Gregor seemed to be part of the Fereldan chapter.

-Look at that moustache, he's clearly Orlesian.

I don't want to turn this into a romance discussion but I still hope he is a LI.
Because he is so bearish and all, he's actually the only potential LI I'm interested in at all.

As for the theory that started the topic, the warden Alistair met could very well be Orlesian; we know Orlesian wardens were visiting Fereldan around the time of Alistair's joining. (Riordan was stationed in Orlais, yet he was present in Alistair's joining ritual.)

I'm a helper!...and because I'm a sick, sick person and I don't like sharing these scars alone.

Besides, we hurt the ones we love.  Let me love you. ;)

Adaia appeared in Leliana's Song, though. ;) And she WAS blonde. I think you're onto something here. :D

Not sure if you're joking but Adaia is dark-skinned and also dead at the moment.

Unlikely but not impossible. I think the only big problem I can see is the calling thing. it's been at least 13 years since Origins and we have no idea how long the guy was a warden for before then but it is still possible despite being mostly reach.

Yes, he is the guy you give your sibling to in the deep roads to become a warden.

To the topic itself, the idea is very silly and far fetched so people are going to poke fun. It's like saying the blonde elf woman in the concept art is origin city elf's mother Adaia(sp?) because omg they are both rogues, both elves, both female, and we never saw what Adaia looked like! The reasons people immediately dismiss the notion that the new companion is "Grigor or Greagor" are:

-He was one of the Ferelden wardens and every single one of them died except Alistair and the PC who would have died too if Flemeth and Morrigan didn't need their newly tainted selves to make a baby.

-He wasn't even a character and was only mentioned to give life to Alistair's story as was the elf warden that kept to himself. BW only resurrects characters they feel add to their story, they would have no use for resurrecting a one line blurb who wasnt even in the game when they could make a new character.

-Alistair described him as being quiet, calm, reserved. In the art of the group at the tavern he is obviously laughing loudly and strongly.

-Alistair described him as having the biggest bushy beard you had ever seen, the warden companion has a normal beard no crazier than Duncan's

The whole thing is just silly.

Um the City elf's mother is confirmed dead and before you say this guy is no he isn't he's just likely to be.

When we meet Riordan in Origins it is a surprise to our character that he didn't die at Ostagar. So already we have a warden who didn't die at Ostagar and there was an explanation for that so another one not dying is perfectly plausible.

I would also add that the Wardens do send people to other countries sometimes like in Awakening for example. He could well have been sent somewhere else for some reason.

Him not being a character is irrelevant and as we discussed they don't need to resurrect him as he may not be dead.

He could easily be quite, calm, reserved ect when sober and different when he is drinking everyone under the table  (I know I am) and the beard thing could be an exaggeration or maybe he trimmed it.

This idea is very very unlikely but it's not silly, your reasoning on the other hand is so shh ;)

If you look closely at this concept art:

You can see the Gryphon emblems on his knees and then in this one:

You can see he has plumes coming from his helmet. This can only mean one thing: He is none other than Merrill's hypothetical pet baby gryphon, Feathers! I can't say for certain that he is... only that this is the most likely explanation of his origin.

AHHH so thats where all the Gryphon's went... they just learned how to shapeshift into humans... sneaky....

If Warden Commander Feathers can shapechange into a griffon, perhaps we can mount and ride him? Can Morrigan shapechange into a griffon? If so, we got to ride a griffon in Origins, sorta.

I think Morrigan can only Shapechange into things she has seen. She said she couldn't become another human because she already knew what it was to be a human so idk, maybe if she met feathers she could learn ;)

Riordan wasn't at the Battle of Ostagar, he snuck into Fereldan after Loghain turned away the Orlais wardens to investigate.

oops I forgot about that. But anyway it doesn't make it impossible that he could have just been sent somewhere else before the battle. Logain talks about maybe having to report to Orlais after the battle if you make him a warden. he could have been transferred somewhere else ages before for all we know.

My point was him not being at the battle is possible.

Maybe Feathers was at the battle, but shapechanged into a griffon and flew off when things were deteriorating :P

My job is done. Now you can't unsee it too.

This is your fault BioWare. Mary, would you consider giving us a different nickname other than "Feathers" for the Bearded Warden? ;)

In Origins, we have Arl Foreshadow. In DA2, we have Ruxton Harimann foreshadowing. It all makes perfect sense.

"Use the Feather..."

Perhaps we must use Warden Commander Feathers in some capacity to save Thedas.

And make a nest, using various sundries.  I wonder if he'll need to be fed like a baby griffon, too.
