I don't know if anyone else has seen this video or one like it but there were one or two concerns I had about DA3, but I was still aching to play it no matter what. Now after watching this it makes me want to play it even more!

(WARNING: If you don't want to know anything about DA:I, do not watch this video)

Now that I've seen a bit of what to expect I want to play this game so much more!

What does anyone else think?

Edit: We've had some people giving comments about how this video is really old and it's been seen so many times etc. For 1 I did not know how old these videos were hence one of the reasons I started this thread to know more about it. And second someone said "Actually, this is the second vid recorded in Scandinavia at a Con. So it is not the PAX footage. And most people saw the PAX vid. So there is no harm in posting this vid. Actually some might appreciate it. I do, because it offers a lot of insight, and you are actually able to understand what Laidlaw and Darrah are talking about."

So this video might actually help and less people might have seen it  :). So before someone thinks of starting arguments or feuds on here please just keep to the topic and don't give snide comments or be rude. Thanks guys!  B)

Well I hadn't seen it before and I was asking people what they think of the video and I'm sure not everyone has seen it. Nothing you said was relevant to what I said in the post.

Yeah I love that vid. Haven't seen it in its entirety, but it's awesome. Only thing I don't like is the PC's voice.... not sure if it's a placeholder or what??

Yes it was.

The OP was also asking what people thought of it.

My view is that this looks like what DA2 should have been with a moderately tuned combat speed that is both "actiony" but strategic too.

I don't have any worries. I think Bioware learnt from DA2 based on everything we've seen. The world and gameplay looks absolutely splendid. It's only the story I worry for based on DA2 and ME3. However I thought DA2 was playable with its story (which I didn't particularly like) and beat I it several times. So all this needs really (and looks like it already has) is better gameplay and a better world for me to play again and again. I guess I'm used to disappointing stories in video games now which is why a good one always surprises me. I do expect good characters though and I have a inkling Inquisition will surprise me with a good story too but if it doesn't, I'd have expected that.

It's final though he does sound a little different here if you're interested.

They said they weren't sure if anyone saw a video like that and I replied, there's like 10 versions of it out that with a combined what 3 million views and has be discussed and taken apart numerous times on this site an tons of other sites since it was posted on YouTube back in September, and then again at the digi expo.

Yeah I like what I saw it seems to be shapeing up nicely and impressive for a pre alpha.

Aesthetically it looks like a huge improvement, I'm concerned with how it actually plays though.  The demo didn't inspire a lot of hope, other than the classes shown weren't as cartoonily ridiculous as DA2.  I'm really waiting to see some breakdown of the actual mechanics and character(class) building options.  Da2 was so streamlined and bland in that regard I found it to be unplayable personally. DAO wasn't much better in that regard, it had what I would consider to be a bare minimum, but it at least had some hybrid options, as well as an open gearing system....and it was (easily) mod-able.

In terms of my personal taste, I'd like them to take the same philosophy with the character building system as they did with the level design.  Open that **** up.

Well not quite no. I asked if anyone else saw it and he gave a snide comment not actually answering it and he didn't say anything about his views on it which was the other thing I mentioned so no, not really.

Man, I remember when this video as well as a bunch of info was released I was super excited...6 months ago. The only "info" we've gotten since then has been some scenery, some concept art of scenery, and some cosplay references :(

Yes thank you, I did point out that he was wrong in an above post.

Yeah, it does look like they have improved and done better, makes it that much more exciting.

I see where you are coming from, you may find some things you like in the game you don't like you may not, you might love everything about it. What I try and remember is that they have to try and cater for everyone so there might be things in there that I don't like but we will all find that. Until they make a game personally for each one of us, I think it might always be like that. But I still love all the Dragon Age games so far, their so good!

Yes you replied but you did it in what came out as a snidy attitude. You just said there's nothing new about it and most people have seen it then went. That's not really answering what I asked and I for one didn't appreciate that and neither did others by the looks of things. Now you have answered what I asked in a civil manor, thank you for that. Would have liked it if you did that in the first place but doesn't matter now  :)

Yeah they're all more life like now. Some people were saying how worried they would like and I did get a bit worried by that but after seeing this I'm not that concerned anymore  :D

Snide, uncivil really ?

Sigh all I said was that it wasn't new and a lot people have seen it already that's all, you opened two threads about this very subject and someone else said it was old aswell or to be more specific that the content in them has been dissemented 19 ways to next monday.

Also I've discussed all of this here and numerous other sites so many many times, and dissected the scraps that were left along with some other people( Ericander 77, Terrian to name a few) recently in a thread where went back and tried to find thing's that people missed before.

If i appeared rude or anything I apologize but search could've solved this easily there was no real need for another thread on this as it's essentially the same content as pax, the digi expo, etc.

This forum can get really really nasty at times and so can various places on the web, you'd be surprised at how bad things can get on the internet.

welcome to the internet. Just because you ask 2 questions doesn't mean you will get 2 anwsers back, sure it may be abit rube nothing out of the ordinary, but as you can see, alot of people have seen it, and honestly we posted in the topic that first showed it, heck even Gaider liked the fact so many people thought it was promising.....

I decided to have a watch since I've never seen it, and found myself quite intrigued, My thanks for posting the video. :)

You know what I find even more intriguing? Vivienne's voice. A bit after the 16:00 minute mark, I believe it's her speaking right after Varric. I'm pretty sure the voice didn't belong to Cassandra. Her accent's very distinct. The accent I picked up was clearly British. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that was Carolyn Seymour aka Doctor Chakwas from ME. Has anyone confirmed if Vivi's voice was a placeholder for this gameplay video or if it is indeed her permanent voice?

Personally, I can't get enough of watching Frostbyte 3 in action. Got to love the small details, like how the animations work when walking sideways on a slope or up a hill.

Oh no I wouldn't be surprised at all, I have been verbally abused, racially attacked, called every name under the sun, people threatening to hunt me down, perved over and more because their absolutely pathetic with no lives. Dealing with years of that is why now I don't take any sort of crap from anyone, sometimes I may take things the wrong way but I always feel the need to stand up for myself no matter how little the comment. But if I took what you said the wrong way then I'm sorry two.

Yeah but I was wondering what the point was? Why answer a question with a question? Some people do this to course trouble or let out their frustration or what not and when one person starts of a topic like that others are more likely to follow and just ruin the thread all together which will end up frustrating me and can course arguments between people, which is not why I come on here to be honest. Some of us just want to talk and have conversations, not fight. What's wrong with that? Why even start them?

Thank you very much my friend! This is why I posted it. Of course I know people have seen it but surely not everyone so why people have the urge to come on here and criticize or make unwanted comments then leave I don't know. Also I posted for those who HAVE seen it and might just like to give their comments about the VIDEO and the video alone. But anyway, that doesn't matter now.

Maybe she couldn't play her this time or they wanted to try a new voice to fit her new look? Or maybe it is the same actress but she is doing a new accent this time maybe? I don't know. That's a good question.

Yep, that's why I put a warning on, it does have some spoilers there.
