Yeah I love that vid. Haven't seen it in its entirety, but it's awesome. Only thing I don't like is the PC's voice.... not sure if it's a placeholder or what??
Yeah it looks great, Really looking forward to this game
The OP was also asking what people thought of it.
My view is that this looks like what DA2 should have been with a moderately tuned combat speed that is both "actiony" but strategic too.
I don't have any worries. I think Bioware learnt from DA2 based on everything we've seen. The world and gameplay looks absolutely splendid. It's only the story I worry for based on DA2 and ME3. However I thought DA2 was playable with its story (which I didn't particularly like) and beat I it several times. So all this needs really (and looks like it already has) is better gameplay and a better world for me to play again and again. I guess I'm used to disappointing stories in video games now which is why a good one always surprises me. I do expect good characters though and I have a inkling Inquisition will surprise me with a good story too but if it doesn't, I'd have expected that.
Yes thank you, I did point out that he was wrong in an above post.
Yeah, it does look like they have improved and done better, makes it that much more exciting.
I see where you are coming from, you may find some things you like in the game you don't like you may not, you might love everything about it. What I try and remember is that they have to try and cater for everyone so there might be things in there that I don't like but we will all find that. Until they make a game personally for each one of us, I think it might always be like that. But I still love all the Dragon Age games so far, their so good!
They said they weren't sure if anyone saw a video like that and I replied, there's like 10 versions of it out that with a combined what 3 million views and has be discussed and taken apart numerous times on this site an tons of other sites since it was posted on YouTube back in September, and then again at the digi expo.
Yeah I like what I saw it seems to be shapeing up nicely and impressive for a pre alpha.
Yes you replied but you did it in what came out as a snidy attitude. You just said there's nothing new about it and most people have seen it then went. That's not really answering what I asked and I for one didn't appreciate that and neither did others by the looks of things. Now you have answered what I asked in a civil manor, thank you for that. Would have liked it if you did that in the first place but doesn't matter now
.
Aesthetically it looks like a huge improvement, I'm concerned with how it actually plays though. The demo didn't inspire a lot of hope, other than the classes shown weren't as cartoonily ridiculous as DA2. I'm really waiting to see some breakdown of the actual mechanics and character(class) building options. Da2 was so streamlined and bland in that regard I found it to be unplayable personally. DAO wasn't much better in that regard, it had what I would consider to be a bare minimum, but it at least had some hybrid options, as well as an open gearing system....and it was (easily) mod-able.
In terms of my personal taste, I'd like them to take the same philosophy with the character building system as they did with the level design. Open that **** up.
Yeah they're all more life like now. Some people were saying how worried they would like and I did get a bit worried by that but after seeing this I'm not that concerned anymore
