So the fact that the malevolent energy that surrounds Wynne coming from the supposed evil staff and then climbs around her body whereas Ander's came out of him means absolutely nothing to you, huh?

She didn't become "evil" because of staff because she had that some time it only occured when she saw cole who she think he was guilty and caused rhys dead.

She was angry, not evil. Totally different things. And that staff fed off of negative emotions. So why would it not influence her to make her more mad thus feed it even more? It's simple logic. Same reason a Pride Demon plays off someone's pride or a Desire Demon their desire.

Anyhow, point remains that it took an outside influence to make Wynne snap for a couple of minutes.  With Anders, it was all internal, based upon decisions he had made.

 

So, with all this bickering, why would we ever want Anders to return?  Just to fight about him some more?

 

I'm beginning to think that the thread topic has exhausted itself.  We've moved well beyond talking about Anders possibly showing up in Inquisition to debating about Wynne becoming "evil" or not for a few minutes.  The only things those two had in common was both were mages living in the Circle Tower, both knew the Warden and both merged with a benign spirit.  That's it.

Ah, that staff.  I always vendored it the first chance I got.

 

I'm requesting a lock.  If we want to discuss the dangers behind spirit possession (as opposed to demon possession,) we should start a new thread.

Yes, Evangeline de Brassard. I just remembered my mistake when I saw replies were made.

Sigh Asunder made it clear that the staff caused Wynne to loose control, once she picked it up and Cole appeared it made her angry which made the staff glow, the angrier she got the more the staff fed on on that anger which made her more powerful and made her loose control.

Once the staff was removed she went back to normal, also she had control over the spirit in the fade while Anders did not, she isn't evil the staff is and hmm the only red staff I remember is the corrupted magisister staff from return to ostagar, couldn't it be that staff? ( Seems like other people have the same idea.)

Anyway can we move on now.
