I know at least one Free Marsh prince who would be very grateful for you bringing in Anders.

You mean the wishy-washy guy that couldn't make up his mind for about 95% of the game.  I'll take a pass on his "gratitude."

Note: I don't dislike Sebastian's religious views.  That isn't my beef with him.  As a matter of fact, I thought he was well written in that regard.  I just thought he was being childish and afraid of commitment.  I was yelling "Make up your freaking mind!" by the time Act 3 hit.  His whole goal as prince at the end of DA2 was to "make Kirkwall pay."  Now that Anders is on the run/dead, and the Veil tears in the sky, I'm betting Seb has found something else to occupy his attention.

Yeah, that guy.

I don't care for Sebastian's gratitude in and of itself, but my Inquisitor may appreciate what comes with it. Having one of the most powerful of the Free Marshes city-states' ruler grateful to your organization would help a great deal in that region.

Eh, good point.  However, I hope we don't have to deal with him again.  Are we going back to the Free Marches in this game at all?  I know Kirkwall isn't going to happen, but is there any sign we're going to Starkhaven?

Well Adam Leadbeater is confirmed voice actor for DA:I. He voiced Justice both in awakening and DA2.

Interestingly he only voiced Justice in both games so I wouldn't get your hopes up that its someone else. Justice is semi-confirmed for DA:I. Don't know about alive Anders though.

@Natashina If they decide to not have many cameos its fine they can codex about Anders but if we are gonna have cameos,  Anders cameo makes a lot of sense, much more than other DA2 companions who are not related to Inquisition in any way.

Oh, no disagreement there Lulu.  I just don't think it is going to happen.

Yes, but Adam voiced "various" in Origins and he is known to do lots of voice work. So, it could be that his actor is in Inquisition but not confirmed as Justice until the game comes out. Just like how Greg Ellis doing "lots and lots of lines" for a secret project and then jokingly playing dumb about what Dragon Age is doesn't confirm that Cullen will be in Inquisition because Greg Ellis did voices left and right for Origins (and was the original Anders).

I'm really hoping Anders isn't back. It's funny, I couldn't stand him because he looked like an ex-boyfriend of mine, killed him in every play through for that exact reason. :P That and I couldn't take all the whininess, unreasonable stance he held, not to mention questioning my love for Fenris (like Blondie would ever get in MY Hawke's pants, pfft). Thank goodness for the 'a dead Anders stays dead' decision.

On the topic of VAs not confirming characters, Harbinger's VA in ME2 returned for ME3 but the Reaper itself was strangely completely mute.

Anyway, I sure hope Anders is back, but at least having Justice in there (or being given reason to believe it'll return at some point should the series remain financially viable) will suffice.

David Gaider once said that Justice or Vengeance might return, but never said anything about Anders

I don't mind his cameo. As long as it doesn't turn in "alive due to plot armour" (Leliana).

Gah, I really missed good ranged rogue in party, might as well just get along with me defiling the sacred ashes or confront me or shot my PC in the butt, not feign death, that's just... low :F

I want to say no as its pretty much confirmed, dead Anders will stay dead.

Being dead never stopped him before.

David Gaider has said as such directly.  If you kill Anders in DA2, he stays dead.  They hinted that Justice's story, on the other hand, might not be done.

Well no, Justice's voice actor, Adam Leadbeater only voiced Martin besides Justice. He was Isabela's "friend" who traded poison, aka a very minor role. In two games he voiced only two characters, Martin and Justice. Martin happens to be ignorable and very minor.

Don't confuse the Adams!

Anders = Adam Howden

Justice = Adam Leadbeater

Edit: Leadbeater voiced various in Origins too but not in Awakening or DA2. He strictly voiced Justice in them.

Wynne got more than one revive, didn't she? As long as his spirit hadn't left the body and entered the Fade, he would totally be revivable.

Also, I'm not saying it is an ideal end for Anders. I love him to bits, but Maker... the writing and drama that could come from all that... I imagine all the possibilities.  A companion turned villain and poor Varric would know him. It makes me sad thinking about it and I want it to happen so bad. =p

Oh yes.  Maby a showdown with Anders? Or perhaps Hawke, if he/she romanced Anders in DA2.  So many possibilities!

Wouldn't mind seeing him leading a small force within the mage resistance or as a simple healer in one of their holdouts.

Well, for those that killed him, you could have him as a boss fight.  He'd be an Arcane Horror at that point, and I'd imagine a pretty powerful one at that.

Not my gig, but I usually didn't kill him either.  I do think that the idea I mentioned would allow the players that killed him some satisfaction.  Still, I wouldn't bet on any physical appearance of him whatsoever, even his rotting body.

No, no boss fight. Just the executioner's axe. Parading him in front of a jeering, rock-slinging crowd beforehand optional.

I basically want to do this to DA2 Anders:

6029a059-48a2-4426-8fc3-0f16b0aa5380-bes

So that I can find out what he did to Awakenings Anders.

Bioware already said they were going to wimp out on torture though!

:( No interrogating random apostates then.

Not a surprise they won't include torture as Rockstar I believe caught some flak for that scene...  can I do to Anders what Thane and Shepard did to that dude on the Citadel in ME2 then?

I hated him in DA2 but could never bring myself to kill him for some reason.  Probably because I hated Sebastian more.

I killed Anders in every playthrough for various reasons, but here are my top three:

1. He's a murderer.

2. He's proven that he is an abomination.

3. I like Sebastian more.

My #1:

1. He put Bethany in terrible danger and inadvertedly killed her (if not for Hawke) - when she wasn't brought along to the Deep Roads, of course.
