A mod can mean a couple of things. It can refer to forum moderators (such as myself), but usually means a modification to the game. This can add items, change functionality, be a new adventure to play, or any number of other things.

Mods work on the PC only, I believe, as I don't think there's a way to DL them to work on consoles.

BioWare has no issues with them, as they've provided a toolset with the game to help create them.

Mods are modifications to the orignal game (i.e. adding in items, hairstyles, armor, etc that players made).

Mods only work on the computer version (MS doesn't like mods on the 360).

And I assume Bioware supports mods (they did release the toolset for users to make their own content).

EDIT: Darn it Image IPB

Mods are user-made additions or changes to the game. They can change anything from how a sword loks to the entire way the game works.

Mods are only available on PC, as all downloadable content for the console platforms must be approved by Microsoft or Sony.

I don't want to speak for Bioware, but one can only assume that they approve of the modding community since they released a toolset to the public and have set up specific areas of the forum for people to talk abut mods and share the with the community.

A mod is an add on to the original game, usually fan made. These can range anywhere from changing minor details like textures or changing the available eye/hair/skin colors - to adding completely new items or drastically changing gameplay effects.

Mods are only available on the PC version of DA:O, there is no way to install them on consoles.

As far as I know, Bioware fully supports mods.

Edit: ...Weee! Third place is still good right? RIGHT? =]
