Because voice doesn't always match appearance. If you look at the majority of interaction one would get with girl gamers they run into they just hear a voice on the other end. Not pics. And some of the gamer girls that do post pics they are not attractive. Hence the stereotype that gamer girl = not attractive.

Seriously, this topic is sad.

I didn't watch the xfire video so I have no opinion on how any of the developers look one way or another, but why do people feel the need to comment on the looks of female developers/gamers in particular?

Anyway, hopefully shes flattered by your comments, personally I'd be a little creeped out.
