Right. And it's very important that girl gamers be attractive because, hey, if they were ugly, they'd be worthless.

Whats wrong with complimenting on someone we saw? I see no creepiness in that.
Frankly, I think it's two fold:
For one, the developers didn't go on there to be 'checked out', they went on there to demo a game. I think making any comments about their appearance is uncalled for.
Secondly, it's about the internet equivalent of making cat calls. It just reinforces the stereotype of most gamers being socially awkward teenagers.
Heck, even if you are a socially awkward teenager you should feel a bit embarassed.

Well she quoted one of my posts before! That's almost like we made out!
(Sorry Christina...I'm already ashamed of myself for contributing to this thread in any way...)

They wouldn't be worthless at playing the game. They just probably wouldn't have threads like this started about them.

Ignore them.
It's perfectly normal.
Now if we start a group about it that would be weird.
Who's with me!

I guess now one can't even compliment a woman on her looks with out criticism? I loved that they took the time to show us the game, and I thank them both. A compliment is not creepy.halO bendeR wrote...

Well, flattery aside, she has been extremely close to the game and very kind to the community, since the old forums, always providing information, sometimes even willing to answer a few questions. She is clearly dedicated and good at what she does, which in itself, says a lot about her personality (gaming skills is obviously a nice plus).
This , and she was graceful in the vid too and rarely a developer thanks us for buying their games , I dunno it makes me feel good and tho Im no longer a teenager , Im still akward as hell so there you go .... Christina now you have a fan that has a healthy crush on you<3 ....

No, if Christina were unattractive, someone would start a thread about THAT instead. At the end of the day, what matters is how she looks, not that she's a gamer.

You've apparently missed the last 40 years. Seriously, do you also whistle and howl at women when you drive by them under the assumption that they're just thrilled with the attention?

Not at all. I think the developers all are geniuses for their games. I think that if any post were made and had she not been attractive it would have been stating how cool the gameplay was....i don't think the fans would say anything about appearance because they have respect for bioware.
I don't think you give the posters on this forum enough credit.

Actually I find it to be just the opposite, a thread was going to be made either way, so her attractiveness is irrelevant. For crying out loud I saw a thread about poop vents yesterday. People will make threads about anything.
And yes, the only reason I posted was to say "poop vents".
