Had a bit of free time recently,so I have started playing more of Team Fortress 2 and found some elements which can be used to improve Mass Effect 4 multiplayer(assuming it follows the formula of ME3MP)

 

1.       SOURCE FILM MAKER

If Bioware can provide an editor similar to that provided by Valve, it will improve the lifetime of the game.

We already have talented people in the community like Capstach who have created vids that made us laugh, with the right tools to support them the vids can be even better.

2.       COMMUNITY MADE MAPS

Please provide us with a map editor/creator. It will make new content easier to share among the community in addition to keeping people happy while they wait for the next DLC release.

 

3.       THE STORE

A lot of complaints about this one, but in all honesty JUST LET ME BUY THE GUN I WANT.  While playing TF 2, I wanted to buy a blackbox rocket launcher. It was available for $0.49. It was a good deal wherein I knew what I was getting and didn’t have to worry about randomness of packs.

Before purchase there is also a trial period where you can access the weapon in your account for 1 week during which time you can buy the weapon at a slight discount. Even 25% discount wont matter too much at the price of $0.49 but its good that we are given the option to TRY BEFORE BUY.

 

4.       DEDICATED SERVERS

ENOUGH OF THE LAGGY MATCHES WITH PEOPLE HOSTING WITH 56K DIAL UP MODEMS!!

 

5.       MODS

NO, NOT NINJA STAN.

 

Please make it so we can make balance changes in private games where there is no credit or xp reward just for the lolz. That way we can get husk mode for both pc and console players or for maniacal Scotsmen

6.       CUSTOMIZATION

Please give us more customization options ranging from different armor, helmets etc. If it is difficult to maintain balance with individual armor values, just make it aesthetic.

 

7.       BETTER MATCHMAKING

Its bad enough to get thrown into the middle of the match but it’s a lot worse when the match turns out to be GETH/JADE/PLATINUM with 3 juggs who heavy melee and die. Please give us AN OPTION TO NOT JOIN GAMES IN PROGRESS.

Because most people on PC hate the sound of their own voice.

 

10.    IN GAME KICKING

Hopefully this will stop glitchers else we have the tried and tested method of flamer to the face.

 

Hopefully some of this stuff is possible if the Devs take a look at it.

 

Any other suggestions feel free to add them else let the trolling begin.

That would be awesome. But I'm afraid that greedy bastards known as EA would rather make us pay for ME4 mulitplayer DLC's, than give us - the community - the ability to create FREE content. Just look how ME3 is not "user generated content friendly" compared to old games like Quake3, Unreal Tournament, Half-Life (CS anyone?).

I want ME4MP to have a built in translator...since every game i join is someone speaking french/german/spanish.... and I don't know anything but english....because who has time to learn 3-5 languages just so i can figure out if ppl are talking about me...lulz

 

also how about we don't take aspects of other crappy games like TF2 and put them into the great world of ME....let bioware come up with their own stuff(as dangerous as that is....sigh)

Consumables taken after the game so you don't lose them due to disconnections etc. Although you'd also need to have it so they are taken if you quit. Otherwise players might bail if you look like failing the wave 10 objective just to save their precious Cyclonics IV's.

We had a very similar topic started yesterday, for some reason it was moved to "Feedback and Suggestions" subforum. Anyhow, I'll just copy paste my response to yesterday's post:

 

Obviously first and foremost better net code.

No omni-button.

A player to player trade system or get rid of the RNG store all together.

No punishment for using power oriented kits/casters. (No bubbles of denial, no seeker swarms, faster velocity to projectile powers, enemies who have their backs to you can't dodge powers.)

 

It would be fun to have a game with an actual objective other than hurr durr shoot stuff and run around. Something like having to disable an enemy AA gun, secure radar facilities, assault a compound or board an enemy ship.

 

Also with reports that the next Mass Effect will run on the Frostbite engine, I think destructible environment is a must.

Fairly basic MP-game features, like

 

- show ping in lobby; bad experience for all if a player joins a lobby that turns out to be horribly laggy for him and leaves

- ability to kick during game

- HUD indicator identifying currently-speaking player

- ability to mute player

- mic test + gain control

- ability to see health/shields of other players
