I only use my cobras when i get that annoying piece of food stuck in my teeth.....pfft who needs floss?

I try not to use them for fear that the time to take out, and put back my rocket launcher would lower my average dps.
Or that someone else would get the kill while I'm whipping it out. :/

Last enemy of the wave gets a missile.

Objective waves, (attempting) to rescue team-mates from synch-kills, spawn nuking if I'm bored (especially when using a vanguard... BC > BOOM!) and, if I've got any left by wave 10 after the objective is complete mopping up the the end of the wave... absolutely anything on wave 11 that looks like it might prevent extraction, including swarmers.

I sometimes run into a spawn, knowing there are possessed Abominations and nuke it. x)

no love for the birds on hydra? lol had a pug match yesterday where one guy kept shooting his lancer at them... I had forgot they were even up there... actually they might not even be birds...but some kind of flock that flys around up there? winged pyjaks...shrugs

Remember that the methods to cancel/hide the weapons switch animation also work for the Cobra.

 

Forward Roll > Weapon Switch

 

Weapon switch > Forward exit out of cover

 

Weapon switch > Heavy melee

1. Run into the whole horde of enemies and fire it to the ground like a boss. I bet most ppl do it this way.

2. Fire it across the map. gl hitting all the geth primes.

3. only use it to assassinate objectives. I actually like that at least it guarantees credit

4. kill the banshee sync-killing ur teammate. I would be impressed if you actually make it in time

5. somehow saved all ur missiles and spam them all 30 seconds before extraction. (←that's me)

6. waste it on enemies another teammate had missiled. Happens.

7. fire all of them before wave 1. GTFO

Usually aim at a big boss spawn area, and miss like a champ.

I enjoy games more when everyone leaves the launcher on their back and use powers/weapons instead.

 

Pretty rare in PUGs but happenned in a game last night and I was pleasantly surprised. Only 1 missile used and that was me clearing out 2 Pretorians that had the other 3 locked down and in a revive cycle during a hack objective .

How to use Cobra Missile:

 

1) Press "5" (or whatever your keybind is)

 

2) Aim at target, preferrably at the floor

 

3) Press Lmouse once

 

When to use Cobra Missile:

 

 Whenever you want but:

 

 - immediately counter barrage geth rocket tropper

 

 - you need not aim at target, aim at everything (Condor ammo box, Prime Drones, skybox etc.)

 

 - press Lmouse until it goes "click"

 

 - optional: rage quit after melee berserking all the things

5) Fail to launch

 

6) Die

 

7) Notice that, despite failing to launch, a rocket was consumed anyway
