Arc Pistol, Talon, and the Acolyte are without question the three best heavy pistols in this game. Executioner almost has an argument to be among that group.

Excellent gun for medium-long range and light enough to be carried by casters without messing with cooldowns.

Talon, and suppressor. If I were to say a third I'd say arc pistol, but that's more because I lack alternatives than anything else... I have used it no more than 5-6 times, so...

U put the cranial system mod on it ?

thanks for the reference.....I think where I was going wrong was with the  understanding of charging the weapon.....think I try it out tonight.

Acolyte, Talon, Arc Pistol.

But some other ones (suppressor, scorpion, paladin) can be really effective and fun to use with the right kit.

Nothing is "wrong" with them.  However, they are outclassed by superior pistols.  The Phalanx is decent when you're just starting out and have a sh'it manifest.  The Carnifex is mildly better than the Phalanx, and the Paladin is a glorified Carnifex.  Like I said, all 3 of these weapons have superior counterparts.

Well that's like..... your opinion.... maaannn. But seriously, the Paladin offers a great firepower : weight ratio, has enough bullets to deal with multiple enemies (little bit of CC) and can be paired with a power magnifier mod. It's the Saber/ Crusader of the heavy pistols and requires a little bit more aiming and finesse than say something like a Talon. In other words, L2HS.

They're the 3 that give me most enjoyment, though I recognise the power of the Acolyte and the usefulness of the Scorpion.  I don't hate the Eagle by any stretch, I almost love the Paladin, but not quite, and I suck absolutely with the Suppressor unless I have Stasis Bubble.  Even then I kinda hate it.

Nice Big Lebowski™ reference  .  Sorry, but I don't need to "L2HS".  The Arc Pistol is probably my favorite weapon in the game, and I fair pretty well with it  .

I wasn't talking to you specifically with L2HS, it was more of a general statement for doing well with the Paladin. And yeah Arc Pistol is a nice weapon, though I do prefer the Paladin's ROF to that of a constantly charged AP. 

 

My point is that the Paladin is under no circumstance a " " it just depends on personal preference  .

I would hope everyone feels that arc pistol is probably (one of) the best - but I just love the feel of the executioner...

Paladin will always be my favourite - third black weapon I had to ten, used it on everything. Predator second, dat semi auto. Scorpion third, second black weapon I had to ten plus delicious meaty chunkies.

Talon and Acolyte are top-tier with Scorpion a distant third.  I get it that Arc Pistol is good but as I play with more than 240 ms ping, it tends to miss too often for my taste.
