Scorpion is tons of fun but its slight delay bugs me in pugs, so I only ever use it soloing. Edit: Talon is awesome but probably 4th on my list.

The Acolyte is great for stripping shields but it's just a back up when your main is anything other than a Heavy Pistol.

and last place acolyte.... I just really dislike a weapon that will ONLY fire if charged. Now if it fired a weaker projectile like the arc/graal/GPS I'd prob actually use it, but since it doesn't I just don't like it and don't use it

I agree with the assessment on the Acolyte. I've always said it would be nice to fire it and have it deal normal damage to shields and barriers without a charge. But if you charge it, you get that massive boost to shields and barriers.

On topic... Arc Pistol, Talon, and Executioner, the rest can burn in a fire (well not the Phalanx, I'll always have some sentimental value for it).

Acolyte is very good, but in it's own niche way. Also, don't sleep on the M-11 Suppressor, if you put the Cranial and the Mag Cap attachments on it, you can put all 10 bullets in your enemies head b/c it has zero recoil. Just plan on humping the ammo boxes

In terms of efficiency:

1)Arc Pistol:

Can be used efficiently by any character unlike the Talon. Firing mechanics easily deal with the shield gate, deals a lot of damage and has a huge clip. The Arc Pistol is accurate at long distances and can be used effectively on all maps.

 

2)Talon:

Is ridiculously strong on certain characters, has a lot of ammo with extended clip, deals extra damage vs shields/barriers. Range is not great at all, the weapon benefits from the fact that the enemy is always rushing you and trying to get close.

 

3)Paladin:

Very nice allrounder. It should be stronger than it actually is though... It is my favorite pistol in terms of visual appearance

Executioner & Eagle are fine, but I rarely play them. Venom>>>Scorpion. No use for Suppressor/Paladin because I play Platinum 80% of the time

Don't feel bad Cato, I don't really care for the arc even though it is powerful. I'm just not a fan of charge weapons period. I'm lazy I just wanna pull the trigger and shoot...hell i don't even wanna reload anymore. If there was a infinite ammo pistol i'd prob have a mini stroke from excitement.

Eagle on a marksman kit is about as close as you can get. And it's really good too.

Acolyte is a backup for my GI and HSol because Phantumz. Then Paladin/Carnifex when I feel like adepting (which isn't very often). Eagle for lulz, it's surprisingly effective on the vanilla Human Infiltrator. Equip AP ammo, evolve Cryo Blast for debuffing and nades for armor dmg and you can really go to town against rippas.
