So, since bioware does not provide forum avatar-icons for the lazy people (like me), are there some good places to get ones?

you have 678 posts and you don't know how to google a simple avatar? my god, you're useless beyond description.

Sometimes interacting with people gives you good information. Its even better feeling than insulting random people in random netforums. You should try it some time.

Try Googling(Is that a word?) Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Funny/Nasty/Naughty/etc, etc, etc. avatars

 

Or better yet, try making your own avatar...

The avatars on the old BSN site are the right size. You can still log in over there (just can't post stuff), so you might be able to go to the avatar selection area, right-click the one you want for here, save the image, then upload it to here to use.

RIght, sure I can google stuff myself too I was just wondering if people have recommendations. Thanks for the tips about the old site and other tips too ofcourse.

@ B.R.S.: I do not know what your problem is, but your answer was completely unnecessary ...

 

@ satunnainen: You already got some advice. I only can say that google is your best friend also in helping getting your avatar. Use the picture search with whatever topic, character, theme you would like to have. If you have problems in creating your own one, I am sure there might be some people even here in the forums who can help in resizing, if this is needed ...

Since when are this standart avatar pics yellow like the one Satunnaien is useing?

 

I only have seen the white ones until now so maybe this guy allready made his own Profile Pic and is just playing with you guys because editing the standart pic like this takes longer than to search a pic on google.

 

But i guess it would be nice if Bioware would offer a few profile pics from the old Site for the people who don´t want to use or upload a own profile picture.

Yeah, I wondered about that, too.

 

But I always err on the side of caution and so I took the request for help as genuine and offered what I could. The absolute worst outcome from doing so is that I might have gotten "trolled", so I don't mind at all.

 

I actually have a friend who took the forum's default avatar and Photoshopped a fly on the corner of it and is using that. Makes you do a double-take, LOL.

Nah, its not trolling, I just wondered what I could do with the standard pic, but all my ideas are quite boring... or require a lot more skill than I have I was aiming for a bit lighter yellow, so people would not necessarily spot it so easily. Unfortunately spotting the difference in colors is quite easy.

 

Try it yourself, save the pic to some directory, open with windows paint (or whatever other similar prog you wish to use), after that its easy to change colors. Even I can do that in less than minute.

Why don´t you just google for a nice picture or Fanart of a Gaming Character or something else that you like and cut the part out of it that you want doesn´t exactly take much longer than the awesome stuff you did with the standart pic .
