I'm asking here because there doesn't seem to be a "Help" sub-forum anywhere and the search function is useless. Oh, how I miss BSN already...

 

Anyway, I just got done reinstalling ME1 (w/ MEUITM ), ME2, and ME3 with all of their respected DLC a few days ago. For some reason unbeknownst to me, though, Origin decided it was going to "update" a handful of the ME3 DLC and now my file size jumped up a few gigabytes and I have no clue why.

 

As of now, ME3 is taking up 31GB. ME1 is using 26.5GB because of the texture mod and ME2 is rocking 19GB so I'm at a loss as to why ME3 just jumped up 4GB+ in size.

 

Any help would be appreciated, fellas.

EC + Levi + Omega + Citadel alone take up like 7 GB alone, and then you have From Ashes, MP DLC and smaller weapon packs

Yes, but I already installed those when I installed the other two games and all of their DLC.

 

I don't see how I can be even close to 30GB. I'm 90% sure I was <25GB before this "update".

Maybe some files weren't rewritten during Origin's update...

No idea what happened, but all of the DLC (multiplayer map packs, soundtrack, digital art books, actual DLC [Leviathan, From Ashes, etc]) equated to 12.12GB bringing that and the base game (9.95GB) to 22.07GB. Throw in the extra gigabyte for "The Final Hours Of Mass Effect 3" and that update from earlier brought me almost 8GB over what I was supposed to be.

 

Thanks for the help, anyway. Guess it's just Origin working as intended

I'm running ME3 without any texture mods and all DLC minus Final Hours, and I'm at 22.3gb.

Well, I just installed the rest of the story based DLCs as well as the Extended Cut (From Ashes/Leviathan/Omega/Citadel). I also have a little armour mod but my game comes in at 19.8 GB- but I don't have any MP DLC installed or extra weapons and so on. I'm fully patched but I could see how the extras could push you up. Some of the extras like soundtracks and digital art books you can safely delete and stop Origin reinstalling.

If space is an issue on your computer, you may want to look into WinDirStat: https://windirstat.info/. Have you checked Origin's temp/cache directory?

With everything installed except the soundtrack, my game folder is 28.1gb iin size
