Seriously i already have problem with this feature in KotOR, and probably tOR, i really dont see what the justification in Mass Effect 2 to have the apparence of our character deteriorate only vecause he goes on renagade way... Can somebody explain me why this feature have been implemented... It just dont make any sense to me

They said that there would be a plot point that explains it.

Keep ya pants on, you can get it removed, it's just a cool thing for those of us who want to look like a terminator.

Personally I think it's silly.

But I don't play renegade so I don't much care.

I find it pretty lame, to be honest. I'll hold off on my final judgment until I see it in-game.

(Minor? Spoilers)

The scars are due to your healing process not being completed before you're woken up. The implants require you to be in good spirits in order to heal, so Renegade actions open up the scars.

However, at a certain point you can just pay to get them removed.

For me personally... It depends on why it's Happening.

Frankly... Aslong as i don't take 10 minutes too get too the Basement of the Normandy i don't think i'll Care.

Although... It depends on how you look when you "Max out" on the Apperance mod...

That's still is just silly

Anyone notice that it looks pretty similar to Saren's disfiguration but with red lights instead of blue?

"I must kill the Saren!"
"No, Shepard. You are the Saren."

And then Shepard was a Reaper cyborg.

Of course.

Which means, presumably, that Shepard was revived using methods reverse-engineered from Reaper technology.

Yeah, I really dislike it. It makes sense in KotoR with the whole dark side thing but not in ME.

I like my soldier being renegade, I don't want him getting red eyes and shiny scars. Hopefully there is some sort of choice to let it happen or not.

There's a quest to get rid of it.

It's a game, get over it.

You don't have to have it even if you are a renegade, so don't fret. I haven't actually played a game which modifies your appearance in a while so I am looking forward to it.

Besides, since when was looking like the Terminator a bad thing? I'm hoping I can somehow keep the scars even with a Paragon character.

If there's a quest to remove it, it shouldn't be a big deal. You can choose whether to keep them or not.

Why is it silly? In medicine, people often have a much higher chance of recovery if they have a strong will to live and stay positive. There are different things going on in your body when you're experiencing different emotions, both chemically and physically.

Also, it may be that the mission where you can choose to remove the deterioration completely also has a Renegade option that makes you REALLY cyborg-like in exchange for combat bonuses. Pure speculation, but I could see it happening.

Well, i could easily imagine someone going one a killing spree with a cheesy laid back smile. The "bad mood"- explanation hasn't really something to o with whether you're recognized as a good or bad guy. I'm certain, there are many more good to heart people severely depressed, than people that are all out "evil" and take what they want to.

You can get rid of the appearance with money if you don't like it, even if you're completely Renegade. It's optional, so why is such a big deal?

isn't this a misconception.  i remember reading at least that having a positive outlook really doesn't help you beat cancer.

Wow, I cant  believe I never even thought of that.  If its true, I wonder if it will have any repurcussions
(Reaper-cussions... lol) in part 3.
