Acting upon ones own greater good which involves crave for chaos.

What if there are more people craving for some chaos than people living in that city?

I'm talking about trying to act for the universal greater good. It's a bit subjective, but that's no reason one can't try.

There is no such thing as a universal greater good. There is only the greater good of every and each individual. The fact that some individuals agree on this concept and that you want to cater to the mass with your actions doesn't make it universal or anymore deserving of your effort than the wishes of minorities.

Just stick with what you like, act towards what you personally want.

You simply don't value all life, if you do you die, because to survive you have to kill, other people, animals, plants, microorganisms that attack your body..

Sometimes there is no reason to kill someone who doesn't endanger your well being, even if that person endangers the well being of other people, that person sometimes might even turn out to be your friend.

Agreed on the armor. :D

I would say that depends on your definition of "life."  I didn't think it needed clarifying, but when I say "life," I mean sentient life.  Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Qunari; these all fit the bill.  Animals are a bit iffy in my book.  As for your second paragraph, I'll be honest, I didn't understand what you were trying to infer.

And yes.  That armor is damned awesome.

I pretty much treat all life equally. But really even among sentient life, there are always going to be very major disagreements that lead to life/death conflicts.

For me blood magic is never justified . I really hate how all the mages turned to blood magic in DA2 . Everyone ( in game ) says oh blood magic is  bad but the moment things go to s**t all the mages use it . I mean surely not everyone would turn to blood magic .

The existence of scavengers and decomposers(life that eats only already dead things) counters this. Parasites too since they can live without killing their host.

Yeah like all people will tell you how killing is wrong, but when sh hits the fan they grab a knife/gun and act to preserve their life.

That's that's killing on a different level.

As i said a page or so back i never applied any morality or principles to the act, its merely a reaction or action for self preservation.

Goes for DA and Reality both.

Just me going for my guns doesn't invite extradimensional beings into our reality.

No it is not. All three of those types of creatures can live their entire lives without killing anything.

Sure. Doesn't mean they have the moral high ground.

But they can all do " normal magic " to defend themselves , why do they all go the blood magic way ?

No they are killing the cells of other organisms to keep themselves functional, it's like I said, it's on a whole different levels. Peoples blood-cells kill bacteria and viruses that harm the body too, killing is everywhere and always.

Because blood magic is more effective.

Then I present you with: plants. A group of living beings whose food comes solely from elements and sunlight, neither of which are alive.

No they also need organic components, that's why the soil needs to be fertilized.

I was more pissed with the fact that I had to fight said blood mages, more than the fact that they were blood mages.

No they don't. They need a few elements, all of which can come from sources other than decayed life. For example, nitrogen can enter the soil due to lightning messing with the atmosphere.

And even with that fertilizer, by that point the lifeform, including all its cells, are dead. The plant can't kill something that is dead.

Alright. You either kill, or you are a plant. ;)

I feel like my biology is not strong enough to go deeper.
