Hi Bryan,
1) is there an enemy unit you would consider your arch nemesis? (Mine would be the Pyro... what a sneaky bastard he is
)
2) You said you like the Frostbite engine, what about the bullet simulation part of the FB engine, do you like that too? and is it possible something like that may appear in a Mass Effect title
?
1) Dragoons
2) That is not a system I deal with, plus Dragon Age doesnt have bullets ![]()
Praetorians
Aha! See, Argent? Praetorians are the worst of all.
Oilers or Eskimos?
Rush
I also imagine since DAI went Frostbite (reasons for their switch are unfamiliar to me), leveraging all the crazy RPG specific engine work they did was even more reason to go Frostbite with Mass Effect. There is a ton of awesome knowledge sharing and collaboration across all of EA to push this engine and editor in amazing directions.
For content and game system testing, I'm already finding Frostbite to be better; there seem to be a lot more tools to be able to dig deeper into what's going on, in order to provide a better picture of bugs or issues. I find it easier to make test levels with too.
Indeed if a team invests in something crazy (like lets say Dragon Age made a character creation like Eve has) then possibly all projects could use that without much "cost"
Bryan, will you marry me?
I am a traditionalist, did you ask my parents?

Thanks for your answers & time ^__^
Praetorians
Really? I find Praetorians much easier to deal with than Primes, but I would also say that it is usually more map dependent as well. However, 99% of the time I find 2x Geth Turret (at least, sometimes they manage 2 of them), 2x Combat Drone, and 2x Prime Siege Pulse > Praetorian since they don't attack unless on the ground.
I also have a real question. Any idea what causes the "waiting for other players" more often on certain maps than others (mainly Condor)? If you have answered that I apologize if I missed it.

mmm, I see, but then it will come as a great surprise to the DA community that there won't be chainguns in DA:I ... I mean what does an Inquisitor do with them ![]()
Gretzky or Messier?
lol
I might be missing on something, but I don't think this is close.

Without going into great detail about it, Shockwave's evo 2 makes it so that it periodically stops and starts working. The issue is that the 30% is applied every single cast(and additive with all previous casts) rather than only being applied once.
One thing I was wondering about was why most projectile weapons don't get headshots. The Graal and Kishock both can and have special code for it which suggests it can be done. The only thing I can think of is the AoE nature could lead to every shot being a headshot for those guns.

I am too young for that, Fedorov

Honestly not sure why that occurs, I just know it plagued us trying to come up with a reliable repro case for it
In hindsight, Which kit do you think was best balanced?
Conversely, which kit do you think ended up most broken? (Too strong, too weak or just didn't work as you wanted it to)
If you could change one thing about the multiplayer now, what would it be?
I think overall something like the Turian Sentinel is the most balanced.
I think geth trooper ended up being far more powerful than anticipated.
In an ideal world, it would be the 8 enemy limit, I think some maps should be able to support more, ie something like Rio can be boring if they spawn on the other side and you spend the next 10 seconds to get to the action.

tbh I kind of feared you coming into this thread
you tend to know way more about gameplay than me so no idea about the headshot thing
Was the Rio box of shame not an important enough issue, at the time, to be fixed?
I pushed for it, but got shot down... more than once
Was it just triaged or did the powers that be not consider it an issue?I pushed for it, but got shot down... more than onceWas the Rio box of shame not an important enough issue, at the time, to be fixed?
If I remember correctly it was slightly less damage, the thing was broken ill admit. We had a day where the dev team played MP and I was told I ruined peoples experience by using it and murdering everything.
This made my day, haha.

Triage
