I unno, embarrassing confession I didnt even know that there was barriers and shields on players I just called them all shields until about a month after we shipped the game (this is what happens when you are tech QA)
Well they are effectively identical. The only difference Argent cares about is that barriers don't seem to take damage from Prime/Atlas death blossom. I assume that to be a bug, but since I have you captive here I might as well ask if you can confirm it.

Geth Trooper (long range with movement, can hide in a corner and just melt stuff)
Acolyte (Basically a free weapon, that with cyro ammo can stop all 'mooks' and basically negate half the ability of larger enemies)
Snap Freeze (Area, stopping ability, and explosions)
Grenade (If you are in a map, like rio, you dont need to fire your weapon)

That would be one I would need to ask the gameplay team to confirm or not.
Was there ever a thought towards remaking the Tactical Cloak and if yes, what would it have looked like?

I dont think that ever came up in a balance meeting
Anyways off for night will respond tomorrow for more
What is your personal opinion on PvP in the next Mass Effect? Just opinion.

What difficulty did you balance devices for? because it feels like they are balanced on bronze. Have any of you developers tried wave 10 devices on jade on platinum?

Also why does the collector "sniper" rifle have a range limit? If it was to balance the damage why did the gun need a buff?
What were the more common reasons for each balance change? (How many people were using the kit/weapon, how op/up it was in the team's view, randomly spicing things up for the playerbase, something else, etc.)
ok, 1 more.
Why weren't Cain Mines balanced?
Cain Mines were balanced. They just were never intended to be spammed.
Why did you guys only change the damage of guns in balance changes? A lot of guns didn't need a damage buff they needed a recoil or accuracy buff.
For example the revenant has pretty decent damage but has an average ROF, terrible accuracy, terrible recoil and slows down the user when it's fired. Buffing the damage did basically nothing for that weapon.

Why weren't Cain Mines balanced?
People found out about cain mine spamming a few days before the end of balance changes. There was only one balance change after reckoning and people mainly complained about the bow being bad, so that's what was buffed.

i believe they left it exactly the same as the device objective on the eden prime mission in ME1
What was it like before?
It did about 60% of the damage it does now and you had to hold down the melee button down and let it go to shoot. So it would shoot half as slow, would lock on and follow random enemies and was terrible off host.
I find that the Revenant is similar to the Striker, only with more ammo, cover/armor penetration but lack of stagger that the Striker gives.
It's a really good gun to have on the Grenade-less, melee Krogan Sentinel.
but I am wondering why the Cerberus Harrier has worse recoil in cover.
You should try it without incendiary cheese and see how good it is. You can't judge the balance of a gun by exploiting a bug that makes the gun do way more damage than it should.
