Hmm....I wonder if that's a problem with all beam weapons? PPR's range is also limited.
It's actually in the game files that it has a range limit, so it's not a bug.

I'm sure it has something to do with not overloading the system running the game. You know like Praetorian eye lasers have a range limit.
Oh wait..... ![]()
Honestly no idea why they did that.
Hi Brojo. I think I played a game with you on PC a few days ago. You are BioAdmiral-X right?
It was Giant/Cerberus/Silver. I think you outscored the rest of us combined
IIRC you were an Asari Adept with a Suppressor and you were headshotting like crazy.
I know I don't really have a question. I just thought it was cool that you were still playing
Yes, that's his PC Origin ID.
He still trolls around on this game. ![]()
I stated watching that Bunraku movie last night.
Does that guy narrate the whole movie?
Hey Bryan ![]()
1) Why didn't yall rerun the weekend challenges?
2) What "favors" might give someone a leg up getting into DA:I Beta? ![]()
3) What DA:I class/race are you looking forward to playing most?
We know your a busy man, so thank you for taking the time to indulge and exasperate our curiosity. ![]()
I am rather curious on how the Cerberus faction was designed.
Why were the Phantoms designed to have the very high Damage Resistance on-and-off host (luckily it is bugged off-host) which negates the damage of many rapid fire weapons? When players are equipping the Venom, Acolyte, and other staggering weapons to just deal with Phantoms it tells me that are a bit overpowered.
I find the Cerberus faction to be the unbalanced faction in this game. Besides turrets, the Phantoms are the only enemies that are a threat to me. I wish the other Cerebrus minions were more than just meatshields for the Phantoms.

Well Bioware isnt working for free, and mp is not generating money. I guess server are even costing more than what MP is generating right now
. Maybe not !
Maybe, but EA is known to run servers for games for years. I dont know some exact examples, but they do run for a long time. Just look at Halo 2's servers, they were supported for years and only recently did they pull the plug.
i think BW needed more people to start actively working on DA:I, so thats why maybe they pulled support early.
I think this might have been addressed earlier in the thread, but would it at all be possible to get some stats like the ones presented by Eric about a year ago?
One of my favorite things about this game has been the way the community banded together for a long time throughout the first year+ of the game. From the stat/mechanics finders to the gameplay guides to the welcoming groups, I feel that BSN was a great place for new players to learn the ropes and experienced players to become even better.
I am curious to get some feedback from a dev to see what you all felt were some of the high points within the community of players that love your game so much.
"Keep"?
... Surely you meant "make"?
Ouch. Poor Warlord.
Well, even though it is quite a rare sight, some Warlords actually know what they're doing and don't end up hanging from a Banshee's arm or impaled upon a Phantom's sword...
Not all Warlords are terribad. ![]()
Why do all of the barrel mods look so terrible? ![]()
Especially the Assault Rifle ones. I mean rank V EB on ARs are basically an M-16 handguard with the front sightpost reversed.
Seems very bland for Mass Effect, the art direction in the ME universe is fantastic otherwise. One of the all time bests in Sci-Fi regardless of medium in my opinion. ![]()

Halo 2 was run on microsoft servers iirc
Halo 2 was run on microsoft servers iirc
True, but they did run it for so long. I believe there were only 20 players or something using those servers before they pulled the plug.

Haha I know, I was half kidding.
... Half, because the entirety of the last DLC had pretty bad balancing, in my opinion. Or, better put, lots of experiments which went different ways and therefore do not blend with the rest of the game seamlessly... And I'm not really sure I would like to see Bioware expanding on that. Escept for the Cabale and the Collector maybe.
So .... IF we would know the name of what we call "ME4" here ... how much would tell us the name about setting, timeframe and story of the game?
wow a game actually called non disclosure agreement, i for one like it
also any chance of getting an update of that me3mp infographic?
do you have one of those fancy n7 leather jackets?
will you ever stream me3 again?
on a scale of 1 to 10 how bored/drunk were you when you made this thread?
(regardless of the answer, we're always excited to hear from you around these parts)
What difficulty did you balance devices for? because it feels like they are balanced on bronze. Have any of you developers tried wave 10 devices on jade on platinum?
I believe during development people mainly played silver, the example you listed didnt occur during development because both Jade and Platinum were introduced in DLC
He's a question you might actually be able to answer. There was a clear movement to prevent players from primarily staying in one position (presumably a result of FBWGG) around the retaliation DLC. Was there ever a meeting where someone was just like, "I hate camping. Let's get rid of it" and then everyone started silently nodding their heads with crossed arms?
What would be your top ME3MP refrences you'd like in ME4?
Drells hogging grenades? Infiltraitors who cloak for no reason besides 'roids?
I'd die laughing if we got on mission with Grunt and he kicked a Krogan out of a shuttle because "HE WASN'T WEARING ANY GEAR!" Or you and your crew did a vote to literally kick someone out of shuttle in space, and a red "X" popped up with each raised hand. A Vorcha yelling "FLAME ALL THINGS" and having your character complain they're being blinded. An A.I. that said "End of Line" when things got too stupid. When you first have your "Shepard" and you're female, have a scene where on the crew asks "Are you a grill?!"
Things of that nature.
Personally for me, the rippers
Also why does the collector "sniper" rifle have a range limit? If it was to balance the damage why did the gun need a buff?
If I had to take a guess, I would say performance, the "edge" of levels can be very far away and the VFX go the entire length of the beam meaning the further the shot the bigger performance hit you get.
What were the more common reasons for each balance change? (How many people were using the kit/weapon, how op/up it was in the team's view, randomly spicing things up for the playerbase, something else, etc.)
Mainly team play, we would sit down in a row and say "what did you play this weekend", how was it etc. We looked at player numbers for some things and then we went and tried them ourselves and gauged it based on that.
