Hello everyone,

I once heard a user on this site ask if we are able to choose where to place the inquisitor stronghold. This question in itself opens up a door in terms of environmental variables and how they could effect the stronghold. With this scheme, the inquisitor would not only be  concerned with the contents in the keep but he would be concerned with the well being of the building itself.

Next question is, how hard is it to implement? Well the day/night cycle has already been established. The day/night cycle could provide the game with suitable weather information. This weather could be utilized for the purpose of such a design decision. I think this would be an interesting idea but it is totally not a game killer.

What do you guys think?

Are you asking if we're going to have to maintain the buildings?

I think that, at most, our decisions and actions will influence the structure of the keep. Once a change has been made, it will be permanent until it is somehow altered through another decision/action.

I do not think that changes will be subject to "decay", unless it is specifically stated that the change was temporary.

As for the difficulty of implementation, it would be great to insert realism into the game, but I don't think many players would approve of waiting several minutes in order to access the blacksmith because it was raining outside. There has to be a line between gameplay and immersion that cannot be crossed. If anything, the personnel would change their attire to fit the weather pattern.
