Amazon is always odd with delivery. Sometimes it will say to expect lets say a game two days after release date.

For said game to arrive 1 day BEFORE release date. Thats assuming you choose the fastest delivery choice.

Well that only depends if there is no release day delivery, and you can only do overnight.  That mainly happens cause Amazon has no clue when it will get it's copies, and to try and get it in fast for overnight they will sometimes send the copies as soon as they have them, thus getting them early

Release day delivery on the flip side means Amazon has had the copies for awhile, or thinks they will have the copies at least before the release day so they can send them out on time.

Sadly this poor little guy here wont be getting his because AMAZON for some reason SWITCHED my order from RELEASE DATE to OVERNIGHT.

I even called support and they said IDUNNOLOL

Strange, here in the US we have release date delivery :(

Strange, I am in the US and I have no release date delivery option.

You could try changing the shipping speed from your orders page, see if it shows up.

According to the amazon forums it isn't working for them, several 360 CE buyers can't switch, PC CE is still in stock and has no problem as far as I can tell.

Well it may mean they no longer have a solid amount of copies and are worried they couldn't meet your release day delivery, which if is true at the very least they should honor the cheaper release day price for overnight.  Good luck though, who knows what they will do, what they should do and what they will do are often two very diffrent things.

Don't get to worried by Amazon's shipping estimates on pre-orders, they're super super conservative. I've had games and books in hand before they were even supposed to ship them to me according to their estimate.

Assuming that the games get to Amazon soon enough, they'll probably start shipping over the weekend, and depending on how close you live to a distribution center even with the Free Shipping one might have the game in hand on Tuesday.

(All of this applies to Amazon USA only)

They better start shipping on the weekend. I already have to pick it up, it doesn't come to my house and I don't want that game to be late especially since I have school and I want to play it next weekend not two weeks after it's released.

That's weird. I ordered my CE from Amazon yesterday and got free release date shipping through Amazon Prime. Perhaps it's a geographical issue, with certain buyers being out of range for guarenteed release date delivery at this point.

That's really screwy, I just ordered my 360 CE w/ release date shipping from them early this evening in the ~1 hour window where they showed they were taking orders and mine still says I'm on track for a 1/26 delivery.

I ordered mine in November but I've been messing with the shipping options. Maybe I should sign up for Amazon Prime. I'd love to have it on Release Date.

As a Prime member I don't have to worry about a thing, or else there will be blood to pay.

Prime is around 70 USD a year.  So you would definitely know whether or not you were a prime member.

This is messed up.  I have a pre-order from a while back that won't let me pick release day, but if I put in a new order I can...  The previous pre-order shows the 28th for delivery too.

I don't want to cancel my previous one because it's got a $10 discount applied to it...
