Good, because I'm no longer an edgy teenager. But you kids with your "evil" characters have fun, and make sure you get to bed on time!

I doubt we'll get to do much of anything overtly evil. Maybe some executions of potentially innocent people, but that's it. Nothing major.

Probably good, but not nice.
In other words, I will save the world from destruction, I will save as many people as I can, I will fight for the little guy and girl, and I will try to make the world a better place for people. But, if those in power don't get with the program, don't try to help with the Veil Tears and demon in-pour, and/or don't try to improve conditions for those beneath them (mages, elves, casteless, etc.), I will bring them to heel.
I think i'm gonna be good ._. But very selfish.
If at a moment I have to choose beetween saving random innocent villagers and saving a dear friend or a lover, I would go for the friend/lover and let the villagers to their fate. I'm ashamed ![]()
@KeraWildmane No not chaotic neutral, I think of it more as being like Loki.

Lol, taken out of context that's still pretty damn evil.
I tend to play these morality games a bit more "good" than I am in real life. In real life I tend towards pragmatism.
They're one and the same.
@darkness
Should use someone different. Lelouch is usually Chaotic/Neutral Good, and only dips into Neutral Evil when pressured. So he does not live for it. This guy on the other hand:
Wow. It's been a long time since I've seen that guy's psychotic mug...
As for me, I'll likely go with Chaotic Good. I don't really have the time nor the patience to adhere to every law or moral others put in place.
Il be myself

They're one and the same.
What you describe is simply sacrificing things that are subtle, long-term, and powerful (such as honor, reputation, and integrity) for things that are obvious, short-term, and cheap. (Such as money and resources.)
Not 'pragmatic' in the slightest.
I play as myself, so I'll be a neutral good sly and sarcastic guy that is 3 steps ahead of his friends and foes and always keeps his promises...but makes them on very rare occasions. I'll turn into something like Rorschach when dealing with people that killed innocents, slavers and other guys that did other things of the same magnitude as the ones I said before.
Basically, most of the time I'll be a trickster with honor that can make an 180 degree turn and become a cold, calculated and merciless justicar if put in a situation where I think this type of behavior is needed of me.

I don't think you know what pragmatism is if you're claiming that it's more practical to put honor, reputation, and integrity above actual physical resources that you can use. Make an argument describing how its practical to believe in your principles over accomplishing your goals.
They're one and the same.
Yes and no. Depending on your definition of 'good', it can be practical and it can be impractical.
I'm not going to be in Inquisition.

Yeah. That guy somehow managed to perfectly embody Chaotic Evil while at the same time also fill up Lawful and Neutral Evil, being a character who was all three simultaneously.
One of my main is Chaotic Good, but the Freedom Fighter kind.

Ali Al Saachez was just that damn good ![]()
Neutral Evil or True Neutral is the way I'll probably roll. Maybe Neutral Evil.
Goodish. Probably. Most of the time.
But I hope we're presented with more complicated choices, really. So many moral choices in games seem to boil down to "kill the kitten or save the village" - evil is banal, and good is unambiguous. At least in DA2, showing mercy could come back to bite you just as easily as being a psychopath. Although, ultimately, that meant your choices and alignment didn't really affect the world.
I like what little I've heard so far about the choices in DAI. Mind you, I can't imagine anyone thinking that not going to the aid of a besieged village (which presumably supplies and supports your Keep) is a tactically sound idea. Still, context may be everything here. Who knows?
