 Hello everyone!

As you can see from our recent updates on the Report link, the PM system, and additional moderators, we are actively working on changes to BSN. Sometimes, we might not get it right (we are definitely continuing to work on PMs based on feedback from you guys), and all I ask is that when we do implement something you don't like or you want changed, that you let us know politely and rationally (e.g. "I strongly dislike this because XYZ" instead of "I hate everyone, this is dumb!").

That being said, what would you like to see changed on BSN? I can't promise what we will and will not due, but I've definitely heard your concerns here, at conventions, on social media etc. And I want to make this site the best one it can be.

So again, what do you want to see changed on BSN?

I should go. :wizard:

I would like a developer tracker, like on BioWare/EA's SWTOR forums. A simple thread that contains every single post made by BioWare devs.

This a 1000 times over. Riot has a really nice feature on their forums which will tell you how many posts in a thread are dev posts and lets you cycle through them...skipping the hundreds of posts in between.

If I'm understanding your request correctly, you can actually already do this. On the list of threads, you will sometimes see a "BioWare" logo underneath the thread title. That means a staff member has commented somewhere in the thread. If you click the logo it will show you ONLY staff posts in that thread.

Unless I am just missing it, an "Edit" option for our posts would be nice. Made a post about 15 minutes ago, and one of the new emoticons didn't fire correctly. Wanted to just "edit" to remove it, but I didn't see an option to do so.

Can you tell me which emoticon failed to display?  Some of the older, BSN emoticons may render as text-only, due to not existing on the new forum, but all of the ones available now should work.

You can edit posts with the controls contained directly in the post itself - the old button at the bottom of the page has been removed.

Oh and a friends feed with their activity.

A feed exists!

http://forum.bioware.com/statuses/all/

You can select to show friends-only from that page.

Actually - this seems to be missing from this forum spccifically.  We're looking at this now.

Sorry  Steelcan, but that's the only feed I am aware of at present :(

Would it be possible to also have our friends' forum posts/group activity/etc. included in the new feed, similar to the way it was on the Legacy BSN? Limiting only to status updates makes finding our friends' opinions to specific Bioware (and other) content a bit of a challenge.

As well, I've noticed a few updates in the new feed that show one user's name and arrow (like this "→") another user's name, and then the first user's comment. What does this indicate? I can't seem to find the comment wall, if that's what that is a notification for.

And I don't want to sound like a spoiled kid in a candy shop, but if the comment wall has been removed, is there any chance that you guys could consider bringing it back (and showing these comments in the new feed). I don't mean to complain about the new layout too much, but after four years on the old BSN I'm only now able to appreciate how intuitive some of the social features really were.

That icon might indicate a private conversation that those two users are having - I've not seen it myself, but that would be my initial guess.

I can submit a dev request to expand the feed's functionality, but I'm honestly not sure how much control we have over that or how long it might take - I can ask though.

No problem - I've put in the ticket, but as I said, no promises.  That, and more / darker forums seems to be one of the more commonly requested changes, however.

Any word on if our post counts will get fixed? This is my 15,414th post by my count

The script is still running, last I checked it was at around 50,000 users. It is going slow so that we don't overload the server and it is behind because I accidently closed the original tab I had it running in. :)

Aside from the usual requests which I've said aplenty of already, I wouldn't mind having the option to remove boards from the main page or shrink them. I don't browse the other language boards, they're just there for no real reason in my case. Perhaps the people from those languages wouldn't want to scroll down to reach their respective language board as well, wanting to get rid of the English board.

You can close the language boards. Hover over the main category image and you should see a minus image on the right. Clicking that will collapse it.

An additional side note--as someone who ISN'T on Pacific time, the post time is a little jarring. The previous method, denoting how long ago the post had been posted, was better.

You can set your timezone in your profile setting in the upper right.

Click on your user name top right, in the drop down click on "My Settings"

Lemme see.

Nah, I got the edit option immediately after I posted. No need for a forced thread refresh. Odd.

I'm the same way.  Others have posted that they need a refresh.  I wonder if it's something browser specific.

I'm not sure why this isn't pinned anymore. Likely an accident. I'm moving it to "Site Help" and pinning it there.

You need to make sure you log into the forums with the same Origin account you are using on your Xbox. The one you are posting with now doesn't have any Gamertag associated with it.

Don't yours not show up because your other account that you play on was banned? ;)

There were requests that were responded to earlier on. For example the news feed wasn't something we launched with.

However, I'm going to close this thread as it is somewhat misleading now that Jessica is no longer the community manager.

Feel free to post suggestions as new topics.
