Just a few things that have probably been brought up before in relation to features.
More bb-code options + an alert function similar to IGN where you would be notified if someone quoted your post. Threads move very quickly and things can get lost in the shuffle. Also, just a change of the theme. Just streamline the forum a bit. The only way I can describe it is that it feels a bit clunky.
What changes would you like to see on the BioWare Forum?

I might get in trouble for saying this but.
I've really concluded that one of Bioware's big mistakes, besides making all their employees mods was the failure to put a firewall between the fans and the Bioware employees .
To insulate them from each other in the BSN . So employees would come on to answer questions , like one recently did and he got obviously mad at me for a couple of comments I made.
I had no intention of hurting his fellings so I'll apologize here.
However I feel he overreacted.
For all the " toxic environment " claims the BSN to me seems fairly mild compared to the vicious comments about Bioware on other forums.
I believe there should have been a small group of BSN employees whose job it was to interact with the fans to shield the developers from overtly harsh criticism from the fans and to shield the fans from overeacting developers .
Sadly Chris Priestly is gone, with no replacement in sight and no Jessica in quite some time.
There to manage and make some changes.

I would like "click to enlarge" image functionality. It's annoying to have images automatically resized to 540 width max which reduces the detail without having a way to enlarge the whole image.

Clean up the site, Its gotten messy. Condense all forums into single subjects and them spread them out when you click on it. Each game added makes it more tacky. So throw all Dragon Age stuff under Dragon Age and then once you click on it show the different game entries etc.

Gonna mention it again, wish we could upload avatars easier.
Anytime I think I want a new one, I have to go through the hassle of asking a friend to do it, which means them signing into my account and uploading it themselves.
Wish it was easier and just left to me.

-Bring back tech support forums (I know that EA made answer HQ but it's poop)
-Bring back the old PM system and if someone doesn't want to be PMed by people o
not on their FL then give them an option to change that
-Recent activity and the forums that you made. By that I mean I shouldn't only be able to see the last 10 or so threads I created, I should be able to see all of them and friend's recent activity should go on forever, not just the last 20
-Better seach function, limiting to 50 results is BS and make it so that you don't need to type in thr EXACT thread name that you most likely have forgotton. Also give us the ability to search a username and see all of the threads they made

Those kind of controversies, along with the recent ones about the romance lead me to believe Bioware should make it easier for like minded fans to communicate free from harassment from those who have opposing views.

I'm okay with the PM system being restricted BUT PLEASE let me send messages to someone that has sent me a friend request. I sometimes want to interact with someone before accepting the friend request, just to check who they are!
On a related note: I suggest being able to send a single message at the same time as sending someone a friend request.

I agree that we need to be able to communicate with like minded people .
I guess Bioware was worried about harassment , stalking , that kind of thing.
But there have been times recently where I would have liked to talk to like minded players.
We're really missing Priestly. Not a knock on Jessica M but we really need someone to fill that role.

Multiquotes. This place needs multiquotes. And freaking custom avatars, gosh. Everyone does it anyway but for some of us it won't work and since the BSN does not "officially" support it (wink wink nudge nudge) we're stuck with constipated looking bears. And some kind of reputation system would be spiffy as well.
