I have not seen any BioWare employee ridicule BSN users for simply sharing an opinion, let alone with new users, let alone with any regularity. BioWare employee responses are generally respectful and made from the perspective of the people actually working on the project.AutumnWitch wrote...
To not be ridiculed by BW senior employees for posting our honest opinion on something that we have been asked to do so on. This usually occurs when new people coming to the forums innocently post something unpopular with BW for the "nth time" or when a group of people keep advocating for something that certain BW employees don't like. Since the BW senior employees have all the power anyway shouldn't they take the high road? (I guess I am too naive for my own good.)

Start a private group and invite/accept just the people you like/ only agree with you. Then you can finally be a forum rogue state.KotorEffect3 wrote...

I know, but it doesn't stop me from saying I would like to see that.
You can always post a link to the original discussion or report the thread as being a duplicate.Angrywolves wrote...
The problem I have is not with comments but with people starting multiple threads on the same subject and yes I admit to losing patience at times with those people who do that when they could do a sdarch first then comment on a previous thread as opposed to starting a new one.
That wouldn't be possible. If you sorted the posts chronologically, there would be responses that didn't make sense within the new order of posts. And you couldn't sort it by discussion, because then you'd essentially have two different threads anyway! Some people maybe be starting what I view as unnecessary threads, not out of curiosity or to start a discussion but for ego gratification purposes.
shrugs.
Being able to merge separate threads on the same topic would make sense, imo.
I do this already, whenever I see two or three people monopolizing the discussion or having an argument between themselves.Treatise writing . That's what I call it.
Massive amounts of writing with multiple quotes, amounting to private conversations on a thread , may be just 2 people , may be 3 or 4 and they in essence hog the thread. Other players who post in the thread are ignored and it becomes in essence a private conversation.
That's another reason for private threads. A mod could step in and say " Hey you guys are hogging the thread. Take it private ." So then the treatise writers could go to a

Well, they can't really keep it between themselves with this current system right now. I also think it's kind of dangerous to tell people not to interact with each other because other people feel like they are being left out. If you want people to discuss your points, then bring them up in an interesting way.
That's why certain posters get the attention that they do. They are interesting in one way or another.

Can we start allowing threads in OT that deals with religion, culture, politics, news, science and so on? It's getting dull, the only threads here are about other games, films, books and other form of entertainment. Before you tell me to visit forums where such threads are allowed, I'd rather stay here, since the people who posts here are supporters of the same games that I play.
