You think they have enough admins to cover everything? I really doubt that. And I really disagree with moderator responce to this particular thread:
http://social.biowar...ndex/17821123/1

Only 4 pages. Very few spam posts. It wouldn't take too long to remove the spam posts and at least warn the spammers. But saying "And we are done here." and closing the thread was definitely much easier and faster.

The funny thing is that moderators ask to PM them if we have any concerns regarding the forums, but sending PM to moderator is technically impossible without having them in your friends list. Their pages have no "send PM" option, and regular message system doesn't consider moderators' names as valid recievers.

I don't think there was anything wrong with locking the thread. If the discussion was valuable enough, you could have created a new topic for it (which would take 30 seconds and you could have continued from where you left off, same as posting in any topic.)

As I pointed out in my original post, your issue is with the way mods handle things, and it is on that level that you should address your complaint.

You are also wrong about not being able to PM mods unless they are on your friends' list. You can respond to any message that hasn' t been deleted from the system, unless you have been actively blocked, but regardless of whether you are friends with the person.

There is an issue there - the message must exist in the first place. It won't, if the mods never send you a notice about your ban length (which was normal for months, until many of us requested in here to have the issue addressed, and it has improved.) However, unless you have been blocked, you have the option of posting the request on their wall (I recommend that you do so politely) or by asking in this thread (which is less likely to have a quick response.)

And I bring you back to my original point - you can already do everything that you want to by creating a group. You choose not to, which is not the mods' responsibility, nor ours, to deal with.

If a discussion has little value, then it just fades from the first page very quickly. This is not the reason to lock the thread, while it was a matter of several minutes to remove few spam posts and warn the spammers.

When someone blocks you, you don't have access to his profile and the profile's options. Moderator responded to me via PM only once after I reported his own post in one of the locked threads. There was no other way to send him a private message. If there was, I want to see a step by step explanation of how to send PMs to moderators.

I prefer to defend my opinion, and I want BSN to be friendly environment for polite users.

Lie, you want BSN to be censored of all criticism of David Cage's movies.

BSN has rules, and all users here should follow them.

Including you.

Reread what I wrote. It explains how to send PMs, and that you can only respond once one is sent to you. I explain it again, below.

I also never said anything about the value of a discussion being relevant to whether it is locked. You keep saying things in response to me that have nothing to do with what I said.

Here is the explanation that you asked for:
______________________________________________________
Here are the recognized methods of sending messages to moderators.

- Request them as a friend. As a general rule, named mods will accept FRs until they are given a reason not to. From there, it should be simple, but I will elaborate: PM them if they accept. I do not believe the numbered mod accounts accept FRs, but you could try.

- Write a message on their wall. You can do this as long as you have not been blocked.

- Respond to the message that you received when you reported the moderator. As long as the message hasn't been deleted from the system, you can still use it to send messages back and forth - again, unless you have been blocked.

If you have been blocked by the moderators, then I suspect you are already aware of the problem that you face in attempting to communicate with them. (I don't feel that you have a legitimate complaint if that is the case. Given some of the things I've seen posted on the moderators walls that haven't resulted in people being blocked, it would take something very severe to actually reach a point where you are unable to post on any moderators' walls.) So, again, the power to do what you are asking for is power that you have had, all along. You have chosen not to use it.

One final point: Being capable of communicating with a mod or dev does not guarantee a response. In my experience, politely asking will generally produce results. I can't speak for your experience, but with the exception of the numbered mod accounts and a single admin, I have never had problems getting a response to a politely asked question.

This doesn't matter. What matters, is how exactly people shown their disagreement. If the disagreement would be shown constructively, the thread about the game you love wouldn't be closed, and the discussion would keep going.

Make a David Cage and/or a Beyond: Two Souls group to gather together people willing to discuss the game. I've been in a Persona group on Steam and had plenty of discussions. As long as you keep the activity alive you can get plenty exchanges of opinions going with like-minded individuals. My impression of the Beyond thread is that there's been plenty of valid arguments as to why Beyond is neither an RPG or the epitome of gaming & storytelling that all games should aspire to become. I'm sure it's hard to accept that there aren't that many people on this forum, who think like this, but let's not be silly here and say there was no constructive discussion going on. But arguing with you can honestly get tiresome and thus it is inevitable that someone will derail the discussion into something completely irrelevant. This is something that always happens eventually.

Again. If someone disagree with me, he can show the disagreement politely. So far, I see some people hate me and my opinion
I'm sure they don't hate you. Why would anyone hate someone they hardly know outside of a misleading avatar and screenname. I don't think many people have time for that. Hate is a strong word and it is hardly worth it to have these feelings, towards some random stranger on the internet. I can't say I care for your opinions on gaming and thus I usually don't discuss with you, at all, but it doesn't mean I can't whenever you bring up something I feel like responding to so at the very least show me the same courtesy and I'll show it to you too.
Then people will be just be ignoring those who disagree with them which can also kill the social aspect, as Seival is trying to suggest earlier

Ignore list doesn't help to build friendly community. Following the forum rules - does.

There is no need in getting friendly with someone who's being hostile towards you. That's kinda the point of having one and why some forums do to sort out people you want to avoid and thus creating a safer environment for yourself.

That makes no sense. I respect people who don't dance around why they really do things. "Moderate your profile page" is Seivalian for limit communication with people I don't like or don't want to talk to. "Ah ca" ignore.

But I believe he wants the ability for users to post comments on his profile without the need to friend them. Might as well... friend them, I guess?

Making devisive statements such as "my favorite game is the only good RPG out there" isn't exactly the best way to elicit a good response. Not only are you making a controversial statement, you are also making a statement that literally puts everyone's favorite games down because you are insinuating that their favorite games are mediocre. I get that you feel disrespected and that people are sometimes disrespectful here, but I suspect you knew exactly what kind of response you were going to get after re-opening a closed discussion with a statement like that.
