Custom Avis without the whole Dragon age method would be cool too.

Word. The current method is just unnecessarily convoluted when compared to other forums. I hope that is one of the changes supposedly coming to BSN (if any).

They don't always explain why they close certain topics actually. You assume it was because of spam pics this was never stated to be the case.

Actually, it would be nice if they explained why threads are closed. And while we're at it, I'd welcome an appeals system.

A lot of off-topic posts, personal attacks, and spam posts removed. Bans have been handed out. Let's please keep this discussion on topic and clean. Thank you.

Being able to embed clocks and youtube videos into your forum posts would be nice. A spoilers font that hides the text would be helpful as well.

I think I've seen Bobobo878 do that before - you can try asking him. You have to highlight the text to see it, but I never bothered asking him about it.

Again, I believe we used to have embedded YouTube videos but the mechanic was taken down.

You can change the color of your font to the same as the BSN but it's just a rather longwinded way of doing it.

I like the spoiler tag idea. It seems like a great way to talk about movies and games and things without having a spoiler warning on the whole thread.

Aye, the Frozen thread could use one right now.

Another forum I frequent has added in the ability to tag people when they want to address them. That may be useful for when posters want to talk to multiple people. However, that site also has a notification system that tells you when people quote your posts too, so I think that type of system may be needed to toss in a feature like that.

The BSN is quite the post-heavy forum. As far as notifications go, I think I'd be annoyed.

I suggested that aaaages ago. I know I wasn't the only one. So many times I could've used a multi-quote function. Gaaaah

I think at this point we're pretty much repeating ourselves but I'd rather they don't forget.

Repeating ourselves about avatar uploads as well. I only have the ones I have because I gave a friend here my email and password so he could upload em for me since I can't do it myself on my Mac.

I mean, c'mon.

I'd like it of they had a mobile app that did push notifications when people quote me. I wouldn't want an email alert for the same thing, though (although it would be a cool toggle).

Some suggestions regarding improving the forum's usability and feedback.

UI

Report button. If a user has already reported some post or topic, the button should change it's text to "Already reported".

Thread status icon. Should have a pop-up with description. If the thread is closed, the description gets the text from moderator's post about reasons of closing the thread. If the thread is active, then the description may show just one word "Active".

Reported complaints status. This should be a separate sub-section of messages section. The sub-section page should display:
 - Avarage time of processing one report (the time dynamically refreshes).
 - List of the reports user has made.
 - Link to the reported post or thread (for each report no matter the status).
 - Time passed since the report was sent (for each active report), also refreshes dynamically.
 - Button that allows to withdraw the report (for each active report).
 - "In progress" indicator, when moderator is processing the report (for each report in processing). Reports with such indicator should not have withdraw button.
 - "Complete" indicator after moderator has finished processing the report (for each report that was already processed). Time passed should stop refreshing in the moment when moderator closed the report. Report with such indicator should not have withdraw button.
 - Button that allows to remove reports with "Complete" status from the list of reports.

Detailed descriptions of reasons for closing threads

If a thread was closed because of too many spam and/or off-topic messages, moderator should explain that, and post a link to the forum rules page. Redirection to the forum rules page should center the screen on the rule that describes this particular case.

If a thread was closed because it duplicates another thread, moderator should explain that, and post a link to the original thread, so any user will easily find that thread.

Thread status icon's pop-up (see UI section of the suggestion) should support the mentioned links, so users will not need to access closed threads to follow the mentioned links.

The option to ban people i don't like ! it's true but i guess it's too much to ask so what about it BioWare ? other than that the message system is still a pain in my ass.

A couple of suggestions that came to mind recently.

If user is currently on the thread/reply creation page and hit "back" button in the browser or "-E-" button on the keyboard, system should give a prompt on which user has to confirm the action. Just imagine, user spent 20 minutes to write down a large reply or thread's OP, and then hit "back" or "-E-" button by an accident... Not very pleasent experience.

Bug report feature. It would be incorrect to send forum bug descriptions to the moderators via PMs. And such reports would be too diverse (in terms of formating) and so quite hard to process. The bug report feature should work similary to post/thread report - pop-up with several required fields plus send and cancel buttons. The required fields should be:
 - Title (for short bug's description).
 - Way to reproduce (for detailed description of how to reproduce the bug).
 - Actual result (for description of what actually happened).
 - Expected result (for description of what should have happen).

So each bug report registered in the system would look like this (this is a description of actual bug, that I believe should be fixed, by the way):

Title:
Spontaneous color formatting cancellation.

WTR:
1. Start creating new thread or a reply.
2. Fill required field(s).
3. Apply several different text formats, including color format, to the same part of the text.
4. Create thread/reply.
5. Start editing the created thread/reply.
6. Change something in the text, but don't do anything with color formatted text.
7. Submit edited thread/reply.
8. Check your thread/reply text.

Actual result:
Editing thread/reply text without changing existing color format leads to color format cancellation after edited thread/reply submission.

Expected result:
Discribed spontaneous color formatting cancellation should not be possible.

Are people really reporting so many threads they lose track of them?

That sort of thing usually turns into forumites gaming the system and ganging up on people they simply don't like. I think it's the same reason why BioWare decided not to include post counts on here.

There's already a Let's Plat subforum. It's called YouTube. :)
