You can quote within quotes if you do it manually with (quote)(/quote) but with square brackets []

like

this

But it's not so necessary because the new quote system links back to the post you're quoting, and thus context isn't lost

We can edit our posts.

This sentence you're reading is being added in after the initial post. There's an edit button at the bottom right, to the left of a hide button, multi-quote button, and quote button.

The edit button doesn't show up when you've just posted, you need to refresh the thread.  Which is slightly annoying, and a bit confusing

Lemme see.

Nah, I got the edit option immediately after I posted. No need for a forced thread refresh. Odd.

Two additional changes would be lovely.

First, a button for friend's post feed.

Second, please make the cancel button for posting and new topics a little bit more prominent.

Indeed. Cancel buttons are good. For some reasons, they've become rare in many places lately.

@user_name would be great feature. By feature I mean user_name changing into profile link, and notification for mention user that he/she was mentioned (post link).

E:

Also, ability to change time format from 12 to 24 hours would be great.

We can't always see the edit button. I had the same issue you did when a different post I made first post appeared; the edit button was missing from its usual spot. I came here to post that we needed an edit button too, but then saw somebody else say that we did have one. I'll instead say that the edit button simply needs to appear more consistently.

I'll also say the web page seems to like taking focus away from the reply text field and it's quite a pain to bring it back.

Also, I am having a ton of trouble figuring out how to quote people... Clicking "Quote" only made a reply box appear with no text in it.

I guess for now I'll just say I was responding to post #943

Ability to ignore certain topic(s). For example, all this corrupt a wish, first thing that comes to mind etc. nonsense.

I'm the same way.  Others have posted that they need a refresh.  I wonder if it's something browser specific.

It was originally an issue when I first arrived on the new forum, but haven't had the problem since then. It may be browser specific, I'm currently using Google Chrome to get around. Can't really say for other browsers.

Removing the read only changes thread since it's now completely redundant.

I do like being able to search members based on Post Count (the Top Poster's section) and I do like being able to search by the Most Liked posts (both recently and long term).

However, one addendum I would like to see is the most Liked members. As in, the posters who have received the most likes over the course of their career here at the new Bioware Forums.

I've got 6 likes for comments I've made. Is that what you mean?

Any word on that darker color scheme? And also throwing my support behind a general activity feed as opposed to just notifications.

I still think the BSN was waaaay better than what we have now, but I don't actively hate the new site anymore. I merely dislike it now.

Yep.

You can see that on people's profile, and you can view it for the people who have the most posts... but there's no way to sort or view who has the highest.

It's a race!

I'd hate to see it become a race. If it does, you'll have people boosting it.

Like this post for a chance to win a $50 gift card to the Cheesecake Factory*!

*the chance of this happening is 0%.

I'd expect from the forum designers' perspective, popularity contests would be frowned upon. I'll admit a long-lost desire to the cheesecake factory, though.

Right now the only issues I've had is it gets finicky with BB Code sometimes. If you try to multi-quote the old-fashioned way, it'll take the text out of a couple of quotes.

I believe you can search members based off how many posts they have.  I remember seeing that.  LP was first and I believe J Reezy was third.  I was like 16th or something, I forgot how to get there though.  There is no way to see by how many likes though.

For post count, click the button to the immediate right of the "View New Content" button(top right of page). That takes you to the Quick Navigation menu. From there, click Community, Registered Members, and then click Post Count.

Like you said, nothing for likes.

You can also scroll to the bottom of the main forum page, and there should be a link in the lower right corner that reads "All-time top posters", or something similar.

I'd also like to see this mobile reskin nuked from orbit.

Let's review:

• No ability to comment on status updates.
• No ability to view said comments made by others
• No ability to view or access and groups
• No ability to navigate a forum post outside of just two pages at a time (there is no "first" and "last" post links within the thread, one must exit back to the topics page)
• The site defaults to the mobile reskin every time, regardless of how many times the "Full Version" option is chosen
• INABILITY TO USE THE QUOTE FEATURE ON THE FORUMS (I mean seriously... WTF?)

There are some wins, such as no more "pop-up" windows that are impossible to navigate when trying to do certain things like send a message. And the ability to have a text box that doesn't cut off your words when typing is nice - although this was previously only a problem when using the Quote function on the old BSN, which we don't have the ability to do anymore on the new site, so that's not really a huge win.

Long story short, people may have been seeing me less on here recently. And I think that's a trend that's going to continue, unfortunately, if using the site on my phone is going to continue to be such a hassle, instead of a convenience.

Forgot to add no ability to edit posts, either.

This is kind of ironic, now that I think about it.
