What changes would you like to see on the BioWare Forum?

It's kind of boring that once you reach 'excellent' you never get new titles. It'd be funny if BioWare could add some more. But I mean funny ones.
"Nug humper" for 1000 likes anyone?
"Excellent" idea.

Indeed, maybe something only us BSN users would understand?
2000 likes = Officially Canadian.
On the surface, it seems simple. But we all know we're talking about ducks.

That'd work even better, no fishing for likes then. (Though it'd be pretty hard to do that here. The only way you get likes here if you're actually funny/say something interesting/ a nice person/ Fast Jimmy/ crazy as hell/ a duck)
I've got something for ducks today, haven't I?
P.S
No hate for good ol' Fast. I love the fella, even stalked him once.
Remember that sound outside your house?
Yeah. That wasn't a cat.
It was a dog.
I know because I was the guy walking it.

To be honest, I don't like the "like" system. It just seems so clique friendly to me. Granted, people shouldn't feel good or bad about themselves because of a silly number on their profile, but it still reminds me of a popularity contest.
I'm in favor of having it for posts made or some other feature.

I'm not sure why this isn't pinned anymore. Likely an accident. I'm moving it to "Site Help" and pinning it there.

I'd like youtube direct playback UI to be re-disabled, it slows down page loading times horribly when there are a lot of them.

I partially agree with this. While I like that you can put video directly into your post. I think there needs to be some guidelines regarding when it's acceptable to do so. Certain threads have gotten carried away with it.

The white background is still a bad idea. I get a headache trying to read these forums. Dark backgrounds with light colored letters are much easier on the eyes and easier to read. I though I would get used to this. I haven't.

What Joy said, less white. Maybe add few more themes, esp dark ones?

They're already working on it. http://forum.bioware...eme/?p=16189494
Our designer is currently working on a darker forum skin that can be toggled at the bottom left hand corner where it says "Change Theme". The current theme will still be the default theme, but this way our players will have the ability to customize not only the background, but choose a darker theme against a lighter font.
We are also aware of some users who have issues with lag. We are working on a customization option that will likely remove the background and replace it with a color of your choosing as it seems the lag is largely caused by scrolling for those with slower computers or internet speeds.
Just so that I set expectations, the new alternate skin will not be black or that level of darkness. However, our designer has taken eye strain into consideration and is working on a suitable skin with that in mind.

I hate to interrupt the darker theme bandwagon, but could we get a dimension cap for posted pictures? I'm kind of getting tired of scrolling past absurdly high resolution pictures of Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Depp. Perhaps allow posting of these pictures, but give thumbnails instead?
To enforce my point; the lovely Benedict Cumberbatch (I encourage as many people as possible to quote my entire post when replying)

A "Follow" tab so we can follow our friends.
So we can follow our friends. Many of us would find topics in forums purely on whether our friends posted or created it. It saved time and therefore, made social interaction in the forums more convenient. If I wanted to look through pages of each forum to see whether I come along some topic that I find interesting...I would do it AFTER I looked over what my friends posted.
I never would have thought that having friends here would be rendered to just useful for PM since there really isn't enough time for anyone to go through each and everyone of our friends' profile feed.
Everyone has things to do and places to go.
Convenience is thrown out the window here.
Without a "follow" tab for our friends, this forum will send everyone else to other places to socialize. And I'm afraid to say that they will settle into the competition's forum and thereby gain a loyalty there. ![]()

Yes ^^ And when searching for members, could we have the option to ONLY search our friends list instead of everyone on here (make 2 options, one search only friends, the other search all members)? Some peoples user names are hard to spell and I can't find them. In "my friends" on my profile page it does not show all my friends, only up to a point. the ones that user names start after the letter S are missing. Thank you
