I didn't know that BSN was not letting us keep our PM's.  The PM's I had saved there had info that I need, now those PM's that are lost.  Wish they could of followed with us over to here. Is there any way to bring those back?

You can access them now on the old BSN (You can't send new ones, but can respond to the ones there), I had to print a couple of them out. Those had important links and info.

Yeah, that's been the death knell for my interest in this place, at the end of the day. The loss of an easily accessible recent activity feed with my friends' status updates and posts (which I can comment on) make there not much to come back to anymore, except the one thread I occasionally follow. I don't often have the patience to muck around on the actual forums to find interesting threads myself.

As Filament, Luna, and Corvus have said....  This is something that I really want.

 

The new BSN is just so clunky, hard to deal, with and the colors (such as they are) so likely to cause my eyes to bleed that I spend very little time on the new BSN.

 

And please make my projects easy to find.  Just going to my own projects requires too much effort.  I have the projects page book marked because it is so many steps to get from here to check my projects.

I'm new here and I've noticed a few things:

 

1. The font has kind of a display problem: the small i and small l look the same when I take a look at my name on top of the page, I guess it should be the bold version of the font.
2. I'd like to have a banner in my signature. I think you should allow one picture since this board has the function to restrict the size of the picture. Maybe you could allow a banner up to 200px heigth.

Would be really cool. =) There's a lot to read hehe I guess it will take some time to read through ^^ But I really like the design and the forum software and possibilities.

Please make the projects easier for users to find.  Please reconsider the Albums or make the picture functionality associated with the projects more robust.

 

An example of why this functionality is needed?  I have an obvious newbie to modding who can't figure out the party pickers.  I have been sending him/her repeatedly to the albums to look at the pictures and tell me what he/she is seeing.

 

Clearly people are still downloading/playing the mods.  This player did not download the mod from BSN so I guess it doesn't matter that this person is going to another site for DAO related mods and assistance.  I don't mind.  After all, I don't work for Bioware or EA so it doesn't matter to me if players are going to alternative sites.  Playing/enjoying DAO probably doesn't lead to potential sales for DA2 or Inquisitions.

And yet another request to be able to see what your friends are up to. Some of my friends and I have taken to email and many have not even come over to the new BSN site. Finding people with the same interests and likes is not something I want to do each time I log on when I have already done that across the last 4 years. I don't even bother with the forums any more, just visit a couple of the old Lobby off topic threads.

 

 

Yes ^^ And when searching for members, could we have the option to ONLY search our friends list instead of everyone on here (make 2 options, one search only friends, the other search all members)? Some peoples user names are hard to spell and I can't find them. In "my friends" on my profile page it does not show all my friends, only up to a point. the ones that user names start after the letter S are missing. Thank you

I am with all of these people. I hardly interact with my friends on this site anymore, 2-3 in a day perhaps, some are set as private so I won't necessarily know who are even on at times, unless I go out of my way and see if they've posted something on the forums lately. I used to interact with dozens of people in a single day on the old site, nowadays I mostly keep to Steam, Skype or Whats App. Those three only cover a portion of my friends though.

Registration/icons that appear associated with registered games.  It doesn't go with the registered games; it goes with the profile.  I own DA2, I've registered in on the old BSN, I even played most of the first act.  I can't get the icon to appear because I don't have a PROFILE for DA2.  First, the icons should have migrated automatically, second, the icon should be associated with game registration/ownership, not whether or not I choose to upload a profile.

 

I received a new message at ~4pm today, no indicator that I had a new message on BsN (I got notification in email) even though the message was there

 

I had notifications that 2 people like my last post on this thread, but only one showed up.  Granted, one of the individuals could have changed her mind or hit the icon too many times accidentally changing 'like' to 'unlike', but there was no notification of the removal of the approval (not sure that there would have been)

 

(edited to add:) My profile views is 'high' (probably because my friends have to click on my profile to find any of my content), but can't be explained by the 'latest visitors' list.  I'll have one visitor in 3 days, but "number of visitors" goes up much more than the visitors listed would indicate.  Is it possibly the list is  'latest friends who visited'?  In which case, it should say that over the 'latest friends who visited' as the heading.

The forum may benefit from the addition of browser video games developed by BioWare. Log-ins to other websites to play would be a discouragement. Limited availability, new product tie in, microtransactions and such would be ok.

I did a little bit of reading and I checked out the FAQs section, but I didn't see anything on if it is possible to alter the site background color.  On the previous site I know you could change font size a little bit, but I don't remember if the background could be altered at all.  The only reason I wonder if this can be done is because of my eyesight.  My eyes are extremely sensitive to light and I also have to set the font up a bit too.

 

BSN's previous background was pretty dark and easy on the eyes.  Is it possible to alter this here?  As time grows closer to the release of DA3 I'll be reading a lot here and of course even after the release.  Would be nice to set this up for a dimmer or darker look if possible. 

 

edit: Just after reading this I see a background option list.  What are the chances?  Please disregard and thank you.

Yes please. And make it the default setting as well.

 

Also, please actually delete all these spam threads and groups. And make it harder to create new groups, maybe by implementing a minimum account age and post number to create them.

For those who missed the announcement (like me), there is a dark background available.  It is in Beta testing.  To get it, select 'change theme' at the lower left hand corner.  It is still pretty blah, but doesn't make my eyes bleed like the light background did.

 

To repeat a previous comment, the base functionality is still not working correctly.  The last person to visit my profile did so on April 2nd, yet the number of visits isn't reduced, etc, etc

It would be so much more convent if the 10 friends on the front page were actually logged on. And as long as I am creating a wish list, can you please fix this site so I can see what my friends are doing?

I believe "what my friends are doing' is referred to as 'newsfeed'.  It has been requested several times.  But no harm in asking again and it is one of my primary requests as well!
