What changes would you like to see on the BioWare Forum?

This just popped up in my head, but an "Are you sure?" after clicking Sign Out would save someone from an accidental mis-click log out, given the button is right next to the one to show notifications.

It's a big button though and it only takes a moment to log back in.

I would like more 'likes'. I try to be positive and likeable and would like to be even more positive.
I would have liked that comment, but I'm out at the moment. Anyway, that was going to be my suggestion when I came in here... maybe 10 additional likes would be nice without going overboard...

We originally had ten to give out in 24 hours. We asked for more, they raised the total to 48.
Given the exponential raise, what are we gonna be at next, 200? ![]()

I actually didn't know I had that many to begin with... o.O Well... even so, 10 more couldn't hurt, right? ![]()
Well, how about a way of knowing how many likes we have left? Or is there already a way that I'm unaware of? Now that I know we start with 48, I suppose I could keep a pen and paper nearby and tally them up as I use them...

A change I would like to see is a "Are you sure?" pop-up after you click "Unadd as friend"
I was going through my friend list and I accidentally clicked on that button and it immediately unadded that person as a friend! So now I've had to send an embarrassing PM and re-Friend request >.<

Proper search function. Showing topics that may contain the words is not helpful, the actual posts themselves need to be shown.

It's under About as "Site Help"

I'd like the option to search for a specific page number in a thread, and to jump to either the very first or last page, like the old forum format used to do.
If you click on the "Page X of X" text you open a menu to jump to a specific page. Enter the page nummer there an click on "Go".
As an alternative you could modify the pagenumber in the address bar of you browser directily.

A "Dislike This" button would be helpful imo.

A "Dislike This" button would be helpful imo.
While I understand that sentiment completely, I think I'm with the site staff on this one.
I think, in theory, the "like" button was a way to address the old BSN rule about not posting only quotes, or quotes and "+1" as an indication of approval. They were offering people a way around a rule that really didn't work when the "like" option didn't exist.
I suspect the site staff see little or no value in adding a "dislike" button, and a fair bit of potential negativity that could result.
But catch me on the right day, and you could hear me say "I wish I could 'dislike' this" under my breath... ![]()

I think being able to Dislike (as in remove from the Like score), but being MUCH more restricted with it then the Likes, would work for me. You'd need to be much more careful with the negativity (which.. let's be frank, sometimes is needed in order to keep a topic from getting out of hand), but generous with the positivity (which is something that forums can thrive on, as long as it doesn't become a social bubble of the same people Liking the same things from the same other people).
I don't think it would help to give negative scores. The more that's allowed, the more things spiral into arguments - which sure, some people may win and their supporters will feel good about that, but it doesn't really help a community of varied viewpoints where the best solution is often 'live and let live', not 'lets pile on those who have opinions we hate'.

Disqus do this(although it doesnt always seem to work).
Also the option to take off your own like if you later decide you dont want to like the post

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, 46 pages is a lot to go through, but I'd like to see the report button available on the mobile version. I rarely feel a need to use it but I'm inevitably on the mobile site when I do. Yes, I could switch to the full version to do it and then switch back, but then I'm unable to get it back into the mobile dark theme and having the button there as an option next to the quote button when I tap on someone's post would be nice.

I think It'd be nice to have something like a trial avi, To see if it fits the profile or not. Only visible to the user doing it.
