*sigh* man, and to say the least, this is the community that I think would be the one not to pull something like this.
Well, Bioware done proved you wrong.

Ironically, following DA:I's release, there were posts on NeoGaf from people like Aaryn Flynn, Manager at Bioware, addressing people's feedback.
There were zero such posts here. So it's not even that they like social media better than forums... they just actively hate their own forum.
They must hate it. I never see them here.

NeoGaf?! Seriously?!

Damn, that's hilarious and sad at the same time.
Here's a suggestion- everything thats already been suggested being put into practice. Have a team devoted to the forum and nothing else. Same for twitter, same for Facebook, same for all the other locations.
Oh and by team, I mean a real team of real people with real accounts, not this biomod+lurker stuff.
Hopefully you're not screaming in a vacuum about this, Prince.

I have the same hope, and nothing that tells me otherwise.
I remember years ago I posted this long post about my opinions regarding a particular feature in one of Bioware's games. On that long ass post I said that I hoped someone from Bioware would read it and that I didn't waste my time.
A Bioware developer(I know who, I just never really shared their name) sent me a PM saying he did indeed read the whole thing. And thats all I needed to read to rest assured.

Any biomod beyond 3 is a spam bot that wants to hand out points.

BioMod1 gave me points though. I don't think I deserved it. I was just asking for advice to get over my shyness when interacting with the ladies. And this is the help section. So I figured it was relevant.

It's because you're beyond help, Reezy.

Just watch, I'mma spit game soon and have video evidence. I'm not beyond help, I'm beyond The Bunz. All he does is post text messages and stuff. I'm really 'bout to be out here in the streets with it.

Best of luck, man. But I think being better than Bunz with the ladies isn't humanely possible. How's your public bathroom selfie game?
I've had a little practice.

I don't think BW is interested in changes to the forum that we want. The recent changes were evidence of that. This topic was started by another community manager, at a time when BW was willing to make changes that would benefit the community. Now the agenda is different. The forums are seen as a relic from the past and people should move on to other social media. Their forums are considered too much work and nobody at BW seems willing to maintain and police them. Conversations with fans are everywhere, but not at these forums. That tells a lot.
Closing off-topic was one step. The groups will be next, because these are even harder to police.
The message is clear. Please go away, because, as Mr Pierse put it, "other communities do exist for such off-topic discussions".
I wouldn't be surprised that this thread will be closed next week or so. I'm surprised that it even lived this long.
Revert to the middle forums, I miss my profile feed.

Middle forums? You mean the actual BSN?
Vroom Vroom and company have done an exceptional job setting up a new forum. If you haven't checked it out, you should. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Some rough edges, yes, but they're working on them. You need to register before you can access, but it's worth it.

No doxxing or bullying allowed.
Beware the Moe Overlord though. His punishment comes swift and cutely, so no doing uncute, bad things!
Moderators that do their Jobs of moderating and not hide behind anonymous BioMod accounts editing peoples posts.

This is the aspect of Bioware I understand the least.
I fail to understand how they can have more control over the toxic elements of the community on NeoGaf, Facebook, Reddit, etc than here on their own forum?
Most people here aren't rude and don't make threats, yet Bioware has retreated from that far larger group of good members too.
Oh hey guys, I've got a completely new idea:
How about having a team that's entirely dedicated to managing your community? Like, creating and cultivating regular discourse between the BioWare staff, developers, writers and such, with the community.
And how about creating a place where the entire fanbase can come together and easily access all informations about BioWare, like say an incorporated Twitter/Facebook feed that updates with whenever someone from BioWare tweets/posts something and such?
I'd like for the ME:A section to have a MP and SP sub forums. It would go a long way to engendering a more peaceful environment.

BioWare: But we eliminated off-topic? There should be peace on the forums now. You're obviously bringing off-topic toxicity to these peaceful forums.
