Now?
Yeah. I know it's early days, but the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned. The SP only and the MP only people don't socialize well. I like both, so I'd probably check both sub sections, but I'd like to do so without entering a MP vs SP showdown.

Out of curiosity, what would be the benefit of hiding a post that you've already read?

The feature would be useful for reviewing long threads where there are some great posts and conversation buried by many low value comments.

Lol damn, sections are beefing? I've heard the MP section is a den of trolls. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. I barely went into the MP section even when I played ME3's multiplayer. And that was only the first few months after it released. It seemed chill enough starting out but now the MP section definitely has some "personality" from my outside looking in perspective.

The MP vs SP thing keeps me out of the Andromeda section quite a bit after I saw that earlier in the year. I want no part of that infighting.

Can't you just escape to an Off Topic section off site? Sounds like a good idea.

As there were great matters to discuss.
There are very few, and of lesser importance. As to say a game who's even not properly supported for its release needs both a multiplayer and single player sections altogether. Why not a character discussion section then? Why not three more sections, one for the story arc we don't know, one for the spoiler story arc we don't know but that can be merged in the future with the main, and one for the recycle bin where the controversial discussions can be easily thrown without even closing them.
Meanwhile, in Bioware's offices, a manager is trying new convincing techniques to be tested on the consumer base
The more bloopity you say, the more people will be softened in their minds.

I think the problem is there is nothing to talk about anymore (regarding MP), so the only left to do is spam. It'd be like if off topic was just Bunz threads, you know assuming off topic still existed.

I've compared it to thrusting the high school football team together with the drama club in a tiny room. The MP people tend to be both competitive and irreverent, while the SP people are sensitive and usually take things more seriously. Some of the people on both sides suggest that the part of the game the other likes is superfluous and should be gotten rid of, and that's when the claws come out.
A few of us are like, "Hey, we actually can have both without any of losing anything," but they don't seem to want to hear talk like that. They'd rather it be a competition.

I like to think OT and MP got along pretty well, all things considered, with what precious little time we had together. ![]()

Which is stupid, given MP only came around relatively recently for Bioware and SP's been around forever. But *shrugs*

- the ability to send a notification to someone by putting "@(username)@" would be great; It is a feature of another forum I use, and it really helps you keep up with responses to things you've said if you post in a lot of threads. It could potentially become a problem if people decide to abuse it, but it isn't that much different from the notifications sent by liking posts.
- the ability to use HTML; I really want to incorporate polls into a thread I am making to organize suggestions for the next Dragon Age, and I think that actually being able to embed polls with HTML is the only way that I'll get many people to actually participate in the polls. I know that it could be bad if everybody was able to use HTML, so maybe you could allow people to request the ability to use HTML in a particular post or something.
- an explanation and warning for the first thing in the upper left corner of the post text box; I used it once, and it turned my post into some kind of code, which then made empty bullet points in-between the bullet points I already had in the post. I don't really know what it actually does, as, unlike the rest of the buttons in the toolbar, it doesn't give any information when moused-over.
- the ability to show only posts/threads with posts from Bioware when using the advanced search options
- having the forum name next to results in advanced searches; I know that the name of the specific forum is put next to the thread name, but knowing that it's from the Feedback and Suggestions forum doesn't always tell me what game's forum it's from.
- (kind of pointless request that I think would be easy to implement)maybe some fun little profile things, like a "favorite Bioware game character" drop-down

Polls used to be only allowed in Off-topic... :'(
But seriously, BioWare won't really do anything to incorporate your ideas. This site is just an echo box, a very toxic echo box with no safe haven since Off-topic was shut down.

Honestly BioWare should stop doing MP but that's just my opinion. And I'm 100% sure they would never stop their current trajectory of putting MP in games that would be perfectly fine without it anyway.

They won't because of the revenue stream. MP players buy their micro transactions. As long as they get paid, they'll find a way to implement it.
Its a near guarantee that Andromeda will have multiplayer.

Geez, it wasn't that bad. A few trolls found easy targets, and most of us ignored it. It happens in every forum. Making a big deal out of it just empowers the handful of people who are trolling. And acting like it somehow reflects on an entire forum is just... dumb.
