I always approve of more variance in eye colours, natural colours like browns, greys, blues and greens, more striking colours like purples, yellows, cyans, reds.
In light and dark, as well as pale and vibrant versions.
I liked the change in DA2, especially as I always adore bright, vivid eye colours. But I though it was a tad overwhelming to see so many people all of whom had almost glowing vivid eyes. And While all the options should be available to the players (in my opinion at least), I think it would help if most people populating the world had the vibrancy toned down to more natural and/or pale levels.
It would be cool, if perhaps a bit too restrictive and time-consuming to do, if the various races had different colour spectra to their eyes. e.g. dwarves have mostly dark browns and hard greys, humans having mostly comparatively pale hues of brown, blue grey and green, elves having mostly vibrant cool (as in opposed to warm) colours like blues, greens and purples, and qunari having some of the warmer spectrum like browns oranges and reds.
Of course that should be mostly as a generalisation and there would of course be some individuals of each race which differ.
I am not sure if the player character should be somewhat constrained to their race's normal colours or be a special snowflake with a completely free eye-colour choice in that regard.
