I did not know that the San Antonio Spurs starting PG and franchise player drew comics in his down time.

He truly is a Renaissance Man.

side note- Luv the sh!t talking and dialogue- "Krogan Scum! You shoot like you breed!"... OOOOhhh burn!!!

Mac Walters at his "finest". In Super Mac We Trust.

Quite enjoyed that actually.  Though I have trouble telling the Salarians apart

Seems pretty good. Though I am still expecting Cerberus to show up at some point.

Hm... I won't read it, but I bet Cerberus isn't there, because it will happen the same thing as Mass Effect Foundation 004(They will show up at the end commenting Mordin's Potential Recruitment) or they'll show up later, like they did in Foundation 003

O/T but I hope ME3 was the end of Cerberus.

If they show up in the next game my head might explode.

ME3 was the end of Cerberus. However, we don't know if the next game is going to take place before or after ME3.

So, while we may possibly encounter a Cerberus agent at some point in the future, I doubt the organization will be directly or predominantly involved in any future narrative, as their fight and main goals were brought to the forefront in ME3.

I have a terrible premonition that the next protagonist will be ex-cerberus.  No evidence for that, it just seems like it would fit worryingly well as a video game protagonist's dark past - and having some left over reaper tech could serve as excuse for their specialness.

I think the "Krogan Scum! You shoot like you breed!" line was intended to be a fairly lame insult.  It's just part of the Salarian captain trying to be a distraction.

You know I actually like comics and I own all the other Mass Effect one's but there is no way in hell I'm getting the foundation ones.  They reminded me of all the bad stuff from Deception, ME3's ending and Cerberus being everywhere. Each issue is hammering another nail into Mass Effects coffin. <_<

Are you kidding me?

A Foundation comic, which by all accounts should be terribly written, have horrible artwork, and completely destroy the previously-established canon from the games.... that actually looks good and doesn't seem to screw up the games' canon?

..... Eh, $10 says that Cerberus and Agents Rasa/Whiny-Pants and Leng/Cereal-Killer still show up in the story somehow.

Even the worst of Foundation has been better than anything the first few comic lines ever created.

At least the earlier comics didn't proceed to retroactively degrade or outright contradict previously-established plot and canon from the games like some parts of the Foundation series (the Vyrnnus encounter to Kaidan's backstory, Wrex apparently blowing up massive s**t on the Citadel before meeting Shepard in ME1, Miranda knowing all about the f****ing Clone before the events of the Citadel DLC....)

One of the devs really needs to be put in charge of all things lore, to reign in Mac (or whomever) that can't keep their own story straight.

Last page, one of those salarians pulls off a mask to reveal he's really Kai Leng  :P

Yeah, that's very true, iakus. Sad to say but I still take such shenanigans at higher worth than the innate ****** that was Evolution and Redemption IMO. :P

Mass Effect needs a canonista job position like few franchises of value I've ever gotten into, I agree.

^ Evolution is my favorite of the comics, and I liked Redemption as well (I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, considering the fact that I don't care for Liara).

As for Foundation #9, I'm glad to see this will be one of the better issues in terms of art quality. It's actually the same artist who did #3-4, which were the worst in my opinion, so I'm glad that it seems he improved for #8-9. I think he'll be doing the next two issues as well.

It looks less awful than Foundation #8's art, but that's not saying much. Why does Dark Horse hire bad artists?

The name says it all. Whoever they hire is frequently the "Dark Horse pick" for the job.

The art quality went downhill during the Homeworlds series. Before that, it was much more consistent - Redemption was good, Evolution and Invasion were even better. Now it varies with each comic.

It's not all Dark Horse comics either. I buy a few series from them, and some of the art is beautiful.

Well when Shepard first meet Wrex he's at C-Sec headquarters, and the last we see of the Krogan was when the elevator's open in foundations there are a bunch of C-Sec guards there with guns drawn.
