Wondering if there's anything available that stops the quarter right turn that happens fairly regularly at the end of a PC's move?

I like playing in quasi first person and it's pretty irritating.

Mnay thanks

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure of what you mean. I don't know of any mod that changes walking animations, though.

Skywing's Client Extender.

It's when the PC moves for a bit and then when you release the W key or come to the end of the movement path it turns in place changing facing to some seemingly random direction.

Initial testing with Skywind's extender looks promising as a work around, thanks.

Please let me know if this actually works. It has been the bane of my existence for years (espcially since the new warping bug they introduced that ruins all walk trigger reliability), and I remember this utility claimed to fix it, but it did not for me.

So let me know if it does for you thank you.

I've never seen that turning in place, but that may be because I've been using Skywing's Client Extension from the beginning.

I use the client extension too, though not from the start. It may be just bad memory, but I don't remember ever having that issue.

I've never seen it either, but then I've never used the keys to move the character in the game. I always have the camera in Exploration Mode, so I just click on the ground with the mouse to move.

Haven't actually played with it, just run a couple of quick tests.  Seems with the client extender the random change to facing at the end of a move is still present (happens randomly, not 100% of the time).  However the PC is immediately turned back to it's original facing which basically mitigates the problem.

When I get time I'll fiddle around with it a bit more.

Edit - found the details about the fix in the CE thread.  Seems the reset to facing is by design so it'd appear to be working as it should.  As they seem to be the culprit maybe I'll see if I can play without using the turning keys and drive with W and the mouse when I feel like getting down into FP mode.  Hmm.

I do, but only rarely, such as when I'm in a tight space and I can't easily click on the ground (especially since I have my settings set to allow me to click on party members to switch to them, and they're often in the way of the ground in close quarters), so I use the keys to get out of the tight space.  Otherwise, I click to move.

I've turned off the ability to possess companions by left-clicking on them for that very reason. I prefer to click on their portraits to possess them. I can still fence-select them in a group if need be.

Maybe I'll try that and see if I like it better.
