I have never killed Petrovsky
Do it. Do it. It's fun. Where's the renegade in you? Just... walk... away. OR stop Aria, and shoot him yourself. Be the bad ass.

Those examples sound more paragade than renagon to me - ultimately the paragon results, achieved by a more aggressive approach. I like that sort of playthrough, but find no entertainment in being a jerk.
Depending on how you do it, it's essentially paragade with more aggressive/direct autoresponses. In ME3 though, I found it to be rather easy to be more aggressive while still being kind to those you think deserve kindness the most. It's harder for me in ME2 with my "canon" Shep, because having renegade outweigh paragon required doing things that I could never agree with, so I ended up just being paragade again.
The first time playing Omega, I was playing as a renegade and when I killed Petrovsky and a moment later, Aria T loser kissed my femshep. Very sickening. So I reloaded to an earlier save and let Petrovsky live.
It made me sick too. It's not cool or badass. It's just depraved and one of the handful of things that will make me throw a game deliberately.

Huh, what's Aria's reaction if you stop her from killing Petrovsky only to kill him yourself? I can make a pretty accurate guess of course, but I'm still curious. I haven't been able to find anything on youtube yet. (it seems most people who post a video of any Mass Effect game on youtube lacks creativity.)

Can you do that? I thought you only got the Renegade interupt if Aria willingly hands him over.
Never played a full Renegade!
I didn't think so either, I may have just read Julia's post wrong. But she mentioned stopping Aria and killing Petrovsky yourself. Either way, I'm intrigued.
...2nd EDIT: Finally found a relevant YouTube Video. If you stop Aria from killing Petrovsky, you can't kill him yourself. Damn, that should have been quite obvious to me....*head desk*
Ya, you can only interrupt one way. I killed him myself on my deceptively Renegade Vanguard to send Aria a message: "Don't fukk with Shepard."

I found out it's actually easier to play renegon in the third game. The one Shepard I wanted to be renegon turned paragade in third game, because no matter what, I always had more paragon than renegade points and I was actually pretty damn renegade. More so than in any of my previous PT's.
That is, if you only look at paragade/renegon as far as ratio of points goes, not the actual character herself.

I agree, though it is amusing to see the difference between her kissing MShep and FemShep.

They should have allowed another interrupt. I tell you those Bioware writers don't have any imagination. That's how I would have written it. Give you a paragon interrupt, and still allow you to shoot Petrovsky, then a special cutscene with Aria and Shepard laughing about it, and because you did it that way you get the paragon points from the interrupt turned into renegade points, and a Secret Achievement Unlocked - Not Aria's B**** 10 pts
Ooh, I have one. Kinda.
I've never gotten over the treatment of the Rachni. They were such a big deal in the first game, I always thought saving the queen would have had a massive impact come the endgame. It seemed set up that way. ME3 drops and they become as important as Conrad Verner plot wise.
That's always bugged me.

You have a very strange interpretation of this thread.

hehehe
Unfortunately we never got that scene where a Krogan and a Rachni fight side by side.
Speaking of bugs, I've never kept the Rachni breeder alive, that decision has bad choice written all over it.
My renegon managed to be a pretty decent person, while still having a scarred visage and glowing red eyes. She changed more to paragade in third game, but still, she was the most renegade Shepard of all I had so far. I also found out it's much easier to play paragade/renegon when you import, because you have a buffer to act on.
As for Petrovsky... if I could, I'd let him shoot Aria. I've let her kill him twice, but damn, I really don't like her.
I like Aria's character within the Mass Effect Universe (a few months ago someone compared her to the typical club owner/crime boss you see in episodes of Miami Vice^^). But I mostly let her kill him because I really really dislike Petrovsky.
I never kept the queen alive in ME3 either. Too risky.
"I'm not indoctrinated, I can resist it!"- said every indoctrinated ever, right before they turned on you.
I've actually never killed the rachni queen, except for one playthrough long ago.. I would, but I just wish Shepard didn't sound so.. aggressive as he kills her. Like he enjoys it. Plus, I've usually got Liara with me, and she goes ballistic..
Damn these organic emotions.
What was funny was bringing Liara and Wrex to the Rachni Queen boy was Wrex steamed that I released her.

See, for me, it's the other way around.
And the fact that he pissed off Aria makes him all right in my books.
You ought to read Invasion. You'll like him even more.

I never allowed James to call Shepard "Loco."

I did. And you're right ![]()
