That's probably the best fan made picture of her on the internet, IMO.

This. Though I would've much preferred to actually see her face instead of see it in a picture.

That image is quite a nice blind of human traits and freaky OP. I'd like it if she ended up looking like that though if I woke up with that face laying next to me I would end up jumping out of bed. Naturally I'd so the same to a turrian. I've seen some really nice fan art of Tali. My only fear is bioware would never use something of a fan came up with no matter how awesome it is.

I'm fine with what they went with, just would have preferred an actual model instead of a pic.

I could care less what she looks like. She could look like a booger and I don't care. I just think that masks/hoods look cool.

I'm not sure of the artist. It's on page 28 of the Art of the MEU book. Round bald head. No nose. Slits for nostrils. Beedy eyes. That Matt Rhodes concept piece? I'd pop an image in but I haven't figured out how to do that on an iPad with the new site.

that'd be the one. Yeah, I'm all in favor of things looking more alien. Besides, if you ever truly liked Tali it wasn't because of her looks. Unless you were just always hoping she would end up being hot (in which case, that's pretty shallow). Honestly, I would've preferred they left her face a complete mystery. Mysterious is good. And showing her face wasn't necessary at all. But if they really had to show it, I would've liked it to be nothing more than a quick glance of her ugly alien mug rendered in-game.this one

Bioware had a real chance to have some balls and just leave her as a symbol of inner-beauty. But instead they felt compelled to make her look attractive to the human 'eye', and went completely overboard by making her look exactly like a human (except with glowing eyes and missing two fingers on each hand)
Like I said, I prefer alienness in my sci fi. Hell, if they do a new alien race, I'm hoping we get something other than a bipedal for a squadmate in the next game. You know, somebody who scurries around on 6 legs, or slithers around like a slug/snake. Whatever new aliens they introduce need to be much more 'alien'.

yeah it would have been better if left a mystery but nothing can be done now too late

I think the white pigment in the concept art would not be conducive to survival on their world. White tends to stand out and would have attracted predators during the early stages of their evolution.

My mind has always pictured them as either cat creatures or reaper creatures. I mean their eyes glow like husks and collectors and the reapers never actually target the quarians, they just enslave the geth.

and since they haven't been on their world in nearly 300 years, but instead living every day in those suits on spaceships....that really doesn't matter.I think the white pigment in the concept art would not be conducive to survival on their world. Wouldn't be surprised if they got all pasty after numerous generations of living permanently within those form fitting suits.

As far as Quarian features go, I think Bioware nailed it on the head with the photo of Tali. I just wish they would have modeled it from scratch instead of using a stock photo.

Between being encased permanently in a helmet and having a diet consisting almost entirely of nutrient paste, I can't imagine their teeth would be in the best shape, either. Orthodontically, at least. I'm sure you could chew something to clean them.
Reminds me of that thread I put together a while back about compounding epigenetic effects.

Well that's assuming they have skin pigmentation like humans, they are alien so maybe their skin works differently.

The art book one doesn't work - she's got no nose there and we've seen throughout the trilogy that quarians have noses. The starfish one isn't bad - not perfect, but hell of a lot more impressive than what they did.
