Well, haven't seen that comic a thousand times before...

it's a picture. It's not rendered with the game engine (in-game graphics)I hate to break it to you, but despite that photoshopped pic only appearing in games where Tali was romanced, it was still IN GAME.
P.s. Anubis do you ever post or do you just 'like' whoever posts in response to me? It's getting a little weird....

you seem a bit radical. You've been pushing the whole African thing all day. You're starting to look a bit ignorant honestly. There's a good amount of asari that don't look anything like white broads. Get over yourself.Twisting my words doesn't change the fact that BLUE OR NOT ALL ASARI HAVE CAUCASIAN FACIAL FEATURES. Their models are white women.
As I journey across a fictional galaxy I expect more variety in my female aliens. Not just from a species perspective (not human) but from a racial perspective (broad or flat noses, curly hair, wide faces, low brows, high cheek and broad cheekbones, larger and wider lips). African women have distinct bone structure, they are not painted caucasians like the Asari.

Yes, can we NOT turn this thread into a race/ethnicity debate? That would be great!

Divert! Divert! Someone mention how racist the Quarians are! GVQ debate FTW.
On a more serious note, I always thought the Asari strippers in Omega kind of looked like they had some African American facial features. Could just be me though. Either way, I think you're making a big deal out of nothing Sarita.

Sorry, but that response was akin to putting your fingers in your ears and going "La, la, la, la, la I can't hear you. It doesn't matter HOW it was rendered; it was depicted in the game, ergo: that's what Tali looks like. Did BioWare cheap out on the rendering? Yep. Do an awful lot of us wish they hadn't (myself included)? Yep. Did they show us what Tali looks like? You bet.

I believe you just quoted yourself, and attacked your own viewpoint in the process. Did you mean to say this?

Closer. Trying to get the process down on multiquoting. Thanks for your understanding.

Can't tell if that's sarcasm. If not, you're welcome.
Multiquoting on the new forums is definitely more difficult than it once was, but it can be done. Just takes a little patience and some trial and error.

And THAT's what I was trying to post the first time.

I would totally be cool with black Tali. When she removes her mask though, it would have to reveal a glorious 70s afro. Man, just think what could have been!

Tali's eyes and nose have always been hinted through the faceplate and were closer to Caucasian features all the way back to ME1. Revealing a typically African face after that would be incongruous.
As far as racialization goes, I would have loved for ASHLEY to have been of African descent.

I was always concerned about how Tali looked and I'm a little disappointed at the picture seen in Mass Effect 3. I thought it could have been better. I think some of the fan art looks great. I don't think she'd look too alien though.
Yes, the general face shape is heavily conflicting with the rough ingame model. Also notice how the body of the concept is actually less alien than the final product.
I liked the final look and also Deinon's pic, just wish they had given her an ingame model.
This BW promo art is great:
Shame they put more effort into an art work than the final ingame picture :/
The codex says Quarians have very similar bone structure and hair to humans, so I'd think of a bit like a younger, smaller, less regal Tolkien-esc elf.
This would do to:
I think these three look good.
