Sorry, this weekend has been crazy. I finally got one post up tonight.

The writers on the lead team (the infiltration team), I think are going to have to say what happens before those of us on the assault team can really do much.  In other words, unless some unplanned chaos happens, this hostage thing is dependent on Terca, Julia, and Jensaarai (and one other I forgot?  Maybe Cknarf if Frank Eli gets called up?

Anyway, I'll be sure to add to writing when that stuff happens. Or enough time passes that I feel comfortable more writing about Morgan or Iyana.  No worries, I just wanted to let you all know where I am on the writing and I'll wait for some action to happen before I jump in with another piece.

I swear, only a mini hiatus. I'm back, mostly, for the next while until finals begin (One month and four days). The problem isn't even midterms, it's all the crap teachers pile on as well as the midterms.

I'll admit, I am somewhat confused as to what is happening. I've skimmed over the first chunk yesterday and now that I have caught up I've lost the thread of it. Everyone is waiting to break in? But some are doing other things? Maybe?

We're out of the utility tunnel, in the alley. We have a choice of taking the street route to the support column OR going through a couple of buildings which will require Naleena to use her breaking and entering skills.

 

I had one of my NPCs, Ashley Williams come up with the alternate route to use the buildings because it would have been bad writing for Naleena to come up with it. It would also be bad writing for Naleena to make the decision since I wrote this scenario. So one of you guys will have to make the choice:

 

1) Do we take the street route as originally planned?

2) OR do we use Williams' suggestion and go through the buildings?

 

That's what I'm waiting on right now.

 

Eteon and Essul need to take more of a lead on the infiltration team, and give Naleena suggestions. If you cannot do this due to time, let me know, and I will discuss the layout in detail with Kel so he can handle some parts. The assault team is now on the surface so Anika, Avan, Frank, and Mira can partcipate in the discussion, here, too.

 

Williams will be supplying information on the areas we go to. That's the reason she's with us.

I am sorry for my abscence, I've been quite swamped with work as of late. I'm going to go with williams plan, use the buildings as cover to avoid the chance of running into enemy units. Gonna have essul bring up the riks this runs of getting us essentially easier to pin down if we do get caught though.

 

Actually, can I ask here if we got enough people in the stealth team to possibly split up and take both routes?

MORE ABOUT CALISTON

 

The dome is basically a moderate sized city. Right now we're in border of the lower rent residential and the financial district, so you can imagine towers everywhere. This is a trade center. Then on the south side is the main residential district. The north east quadrant is the commercial district. And the East side is entrance to the mining facility which is an underground complex. Streets everywhere. The terrorists are well armed. The real number is 40. It will not be possible for them to hear gunfire from one area to another. The dome is not small.

 

We'll have to compress travel time between access points otherwise this will take too long.

 

We'll take out as many as we can, with stealth, but there'll be some shooting at each bomb site. The main detonators are in the hands of the ringleader who has the hostages.

 

To expedite the gameplay, I've asked Kel to handle the terrorists so we can play a little more loose, and you're all not waiting for me to direct the action. It is very difficult to script and write a character. I've given him more detail than I've posted here. Now that I'm freed from handling the terrorists, too, I can write my character

 

If there is something I've neglected to tell him, I'll have Williams mention it. That way it is not coming from Naleena being the super character. When Williams mentions something or comes up with an idea, Naleena will ask the team for their opinion. That's how I'm going to get out of being totally in direction of this thing. Redbelle is running the Assault Team, but let's not forget that our characters are there, too

 

Also, none of my characters will be involved in any heroics.
