No! No 80s music. 80's music makes me want to spend my money! Damn! That stuff was like 30 years ago. Holy crap! It didn't seem so old 14 years ago. Now it seems... long ago. But not long ago if you know what I mean. Things were more orderly in the world. We knew who to hate. And now everything is so confusing. Like this plot... you just wait...

 

So this is going to be another lost weekend. *Sigh* JB with a ton of essays. Kel out of commission.... and RB does stuff over the weekend. So I just might as well play DA and forget about it.

So I bought Dragon Age Inquisition yesterday and am enjoying it so far. Barely played the first game, never played the 2nd. The only thing I don't like is all of the auto dialogue from the player, UGH.

DA2 Family Legends DLC. I rage quit the boss fight. I was on casual.

Fortunately the game keeps one autosave at the start of the act that I didn't overwrite. I had to go back to that. There's a point in the DLC where you can't go back and it's pretty far in. I have a love-hate relationship with video games and don't finish about 90% of of them. I hate gimmicky final boss fights with a passion. In this one, after you've died a dozen times and watched it on youtube you will figure out that you have to continuously group your party and move it together. The second they get separated, which they will, they all die. And when that happens you will die. And you need at least two mages on this. You have a "choice" - side with the person who wants to control the final boss and end the blights forever (Dragon Age's Illusive Man - in this case a female warden); or kill the final boss (side with the old grizzled and nearly dead gray warden). Are you one who can see the future, or an old soldier who can only see the world with the edge of a blade? ME3 isn't the first time they've pulled that trick. The woman was indoctrinated. You can't control the darkspawn. She realizes she's indoctrinated though and fights with you - dies fast, of course. The boss isn't hard enough by himself. He has minions. So f*** it. Of course there are people who found it internet easy. Just like there are "internet nightmare" players.

 

So back to the main game at the beginning of the act where Hawke gets her mansion. I might go into it up to the point of no return. There's some nice loot in some treasure rooms I found.

Yeah, got a PM about this. Some guy said "don't feel bad. I consoled auto rez several times during the fight." also on casual. Hmm... if I had a PC, I could probably kill Corypheus with a single command.

 

Note: I beat it, finally. It's a gimmick. Hide behind the walls and follow the flame. Then nuke the boss in between.

IHis death was glorious. Especially since each weapon type gets its own animation for taking him out.

Guys, I pushed to get the last couple of posts out. I don't know how much writing I'm goingt o be able to do. I injured the tendons in my right forearm on Satruday at the driving range, and will probably be out of golfing commission for a couple weeks. These same tendons affect typing too. I'll do what i can.

 

The pro changed my swing last tuesday to a rotational swing and the forearm rotation of the right arm at impact caused the injury. I'm going back to pre-lesson swing after recovery. Screw this crap.

Sorry to hear.  You are not allowed to hurt yourself from now on, you hear? Seriously, I hope you heal quickly.

For anyone who isn't aware, tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the USA so it might knock out writing (or who knows, be the opportunity for downtime).  I'm working by PM with Maj0nese on the next part anyway.  It is looking good and hopefully will keep us going with something to read.  Those of you who have studies, good luck.  Hope you can get back writing soon.

So I wrote that Ash and Irina went out for drinks. It's nothing significant. Just that they went out for drinks. Zenon is still on the ship. That is significant. I might start a dynamic between her and Dahlia since Morgan is now in the Medusa, and I'm looking for something for Dahlia (my 5th wheel) to do since no one seems to like her. *sigh* She's the 18 year old on the ship. What can I say? She mouths off. She hasn't been that active, but maybe perhaps when we get to Omega. I'll dispense some more info through her.

 

All this said, my S5 got a workout yesterday as the music machine. Of course I made the house I was visiting connect me to their wi-fi so I wouldn't be running on my data allotment.
